Winter fuel payment?

Just wondering if any pensioners have seen this payment yet?

We got ours last year on the 8th November so wondered if anyone has had similar this year.

We've had the letter saying it's coming (dated 24 October, but only delivered last Friday). It says 'most payments will be made by November or December', and to contact them if you haven't received it by 13th January.

Not yet.....I keep checking.....

I got my advisory letter on 13th Oct so foolishly thought "November and December" meant they'd start paying in early November.

I am near the end of the alphabet ☹ so hope I get it before Christmas.

I live in Scotland and last year got mine on 19th. It seems late this year. Still waiting.

Not received anything as at 29 November.

We (or rather my husband, as he's the one who qualifies) got ours today!

My nan received hers on Thursday 24th

Letter but no cash. Probably December or January. Don’t know why it should be later this year. More to process I expect.

My mum and dad got theirs last week. They are at the beginning of the alphabet if that makes a difference.

I’m right near the end of the alphabet, haven’t received mine yet as of the 29th November.

Despite being in receipt of a state pension I'm not eligible as I was born 12 days too late to qualify. The date for qualifying is totally arbitrary and anyone born after that date gets nothing rather than a pro rata amount. Not a happy bunny.

I understand, my mum was the same last year. Her birthday was exactly a week too late. Ridiculous as she was obtaining her pension at the time (or would have been if the dwp weren't so far behind....finally got sorted 4 months after her qualifying birthday despite applying 4 months early as she was asked to...) their dates make no sense imo. If you're eligible for your pension in the winter of that year you should be eligible for it. (I do understand there had to be a cut off somewhere though sadly. That one just seems daft.)

Still nothing as yet for her. She's 4 letters in from the start of the alphabet too.
