Alcohol free drinks thread! What are your favourites?

Hello

I can’t find the really interesting thread of a few years ago where lots of people listed and reviewed their favourite AF drinks. So I wondered if there might be interest in doing the same sort of thing again.

Please tell me your favourite alcohol free drinks? Whether that’s drinks you have because you’re pregnant or are otherwise unable to drink, to save a bit of money, to have a break from alcohol or when you’re designated driver, or any other reason. Can be as basic as a really nice squash or concentrate with fizzy water, or as fancy as fermented kombucha type thingies and begins…

I would love to hear ideas :)

Has anyone found an acceptable non alcoholic wine or fizz? I’ve only been able to find ones that are super sweet or just taste like apple juice.

Asdas own white grape and peach high juice, I live off it, yum! 🍇 🍑

Nosecco is ok, but it is sweet.

I like Cawstons Press Rhubarb, Apple or Elderflower. Ive not tried to Ginger

I usually add a bit of sparkling water

Guiness 0.0 is superb.
We drink loads of alcohol free beer so brought some back from Spain in the car as it's so much better and cheaper than in the UK. Here we mainly buy Moretti 0.0.
Bitter Kas a sort of non alcoholic Campari and soda
Fevertree Blood Orange soda
Double Dutch flavoured tonic waters, cucumber and watermelon is my favourite
Plain tonic with Angostura bitters has a nice grown up kick
Bottle Green Sparkling presse , Pomegranate and Elderflower.
Tried non alcoholic gin, no thanks, I'll stick to the real thing!

Ooh great thread! I'm def going to get a couple of bottles of the sparkling sainos Chardonnay for Christmas.

I really like the Trip drinks a bit pricey due to having CBD in them but I find all three flavours DELICIOUS. I have a referral code if anyone fancies trying - £24 for 24 cans: trip.refr.cc/charlotteannbrown

We also have a soda stream that gets a lot of use, but I'm trying to cut down on sweetener so thought I'd try the Trip drinks that are all natural.

Thank you to those who pointed out that Gordon’s does a non alcoholic gin now - my eyes would have passed right over that otherwise. Instead, bought some pink Gordon’s 0.0 today and can report it’s rather nice! Not as much of a kick to the taste as real gin but very pleasant.

I had a very nice non alcoholic white bier yesterday which really did taste like the real thing - but I can’t remember what brand it was unfortunately!

thanks for the referral code for Trip @applecharlotte12 - I have tried if and found it very sweet but can’t argue with £1 a can for something that does taste fancy!

really loving having so many recommendations here

Have seen bur haven’t tried, will give it a go if it actually tastes like something other than fruit juice - thanks.

Seedlip Non-Alcoholic Gins are lovely 😊

Cannot stand them. I really tried. Hated the taste.

The white beer could be Bavaria? It is absolutely delicious! Bargain too.

Googled and the bottle doesn’t look right - but noted!

China white kombucha from www.gokombucha.co.uk/shop/china-white

I've made pink peppercorn fizz a few times

  • crushed pink peppercorns, grapefruit juice, non alcoholic gin and non alcoholic bubbly - I like nosecco or belle and co bees knees best.

I like A Non alcoholic beer from
The bottle if I'm in the pub.

Sometimes I think you can't beat a soda and lime though!

BeBesideTheSea · 12/11/2022 22:39

St Clements (orange juice and lemonade)
Bitter lemon
Canada Dry over lots of ice
Elderflower fizz of any sort
Seedlip with lemonade (I have a sweet tooth)
Virgin mojito
For a chatting with friends evening in the pub I quite often order a tea

BestIsWest · 12/11/2022 22:44

Waitrose own non alcoholic cider is very good.

Exploring alcohol-free drinks is such a fun journey, and there are plenty of options to choose from. Mocktails, for example, offer a wide range of flavors and creativity without the alcohol content. You can experiment with different combinations of juices, syrups, and herbs to create delicious and refreshing beverages.
Kombucha is another fantastic choice, offering a unique and tangy flavor profile with the added benefit of probiotics. It's a great alternative to sugary sodas and can be quite satisfying.

I would not recommend Wednesday Domaine wine. I had such high hopes as it was expensive and appealed to my fancy wine tastes normally. I wouldn’t have even guessed it was meant to be wine like.

I like the kopparberg pear cider

other than that sparkling water has felt like a treat and no alcohol beer shandies.

I miss wine, I hope this kid appreciates that!
