Good morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I've just about drunk my first cup of tea. The only noise is the fridge humming away in here, and occasional bird sound from outside. Lovely!

I said the other day that I wanted a day of "nothing" so have done pretty much everything that needs to be done so I can have a proper day off. I do have 2 wash loads but don't mind them.

We're going to wander to the little asda for some chocolate to try hot chocolate stirrers, and I started pinning a zip in dd2's bag so will probably finish that off. I need to finish off pipe cleaner broomsticks for work too but they'll not take long.

We're having roast pork for tea, not sure whether as a roast or sarnys yet, followed by M&Ms fudge bought at the artisan market we went to yesterday.

Tonight I'll either crochet, or paint my nails then read while they dry. Just not sure which yet.

I was going to meet a friend but just woken up to buggered trains and biblical rain so we’ve rescheduled. So I’m having a lovely day of doing very little and may even start my Christmas shopping as done nothing yet 😬.

I'm hopefully having a baby 🤞

I'm going to meet a couple of friends and there little girl. Am also dogsitting so will bring the sweet boy along.

Right now im sitting up in bed, curtains open, looking out at a cosy grey sky. Content.

It’s my birthday so my husband and daughter are currently baking me a cake, I’ll have all but one of my children round for a roast beef lunch and I’ve put the heating on so snuggled up on the sofa with my feet up. It feels pretty close to perfect.

We have woken up to sunshine today although chilly.
DS is enjoying playing in the bath with his lush bath bomb whilst I have a coffee.
Washing is in the machine. Need to hoover round and get dishes washed then I think myself and youngest DS are off to visit the Reindeer at local garden centre, have a walk out in the park and collect shopping.

My 3 year old has woken up everyone with his screams. He must have dreamt about McDonald's breakfast and now he thinks we had breakfast without him, he is very upset 😢

On my third coffee. DP and DS17 still sleeping. We emptied DS bedroom yesterday so we will be painting that today. Forgot the paint for his radiator and fireplace though so will possibly send DP out for that later. Should be having a roast later but forgot to take the pork out of the freezer, possibly a good thing as we have a day of decorating ahead so now thinking fish and chips from the chippy tonight.

I'm taking my mum Christmas shopping, no kids . Hopefully will come back with lots of bags

I'm in a camper van on the wild Atlantic way watching waves crash against the shore while dh is making breakfast of sourdough toast and pineapple jam. We got a much needed break for 2 nights and spent a fabulous day yesterday eating, picking up local art, hiking and then watching Ireland beat the springboks. Heading back home shortly but long drive ahead.

Cosy Sunday planned here. Some children up but amusing themselves some still asleep. I'm having a tea in the quiet with my book.

About to pop the base for a shepherd pie in the slow cooker for this evening. Also waiting on food shop to arrive.

Tumble dryer on with the last load of uniform, need to get that all away and need to change beds this morning aswellmight just do half of them as in half the amount of beds not half an actual bed 😂 then half tomorrow, large family life!

Swimming this afternoon not lessons just a family swim, then home for dinner. Then my Sunday routine once DC are asleep is bath gin book early night.

We were out yesterday (ABBA Voyage - fun) and then dinner so today not planning anything other than walking the dogs. But it's bucketing it down and they refused to go out back first thing and will wait til later (the back door is open, they can go out if they need to).
So breakfast and Radio 4, bit of a tidy up then lounging rest of the day! My daughter will be doing A level work.

A strenuous trip to the recycling centre and charity shop. We had a massive clear out this week and I can't believe the amount of junk we hoarded.
Then a nice dinner and dessert.

@mondaytosunday was it you who posted on yesterdays thread that you weren't sure if the teens would enjoy Abba? If so, I'm glad it was fun!

We are up. Me and DC have cleaned the kitchen, I have made shortbread biscuits and DH is studying for an exam he has tomorrow.

DB is visiting this morning.

How exciting @addler - here's hoping for a smooth and uneventful birth (well as uneventful as a birth can be!).

I'm hopefully going home to sleep in the next hour or so, been in A&E since 10.30 last night (had some odd neurological symptoms since Thursday) and haven't had a wink of sleep in these plastic chairs. Waiting for a CT scan and fingers crossed I'll then be off to my bed.

Still in bed in my accommodation in the Outer Hebrides. Have the day entirely to myself so will head out later and see where my feet take me

Morning!

I've been a bit lazy this morning after a busy day yesterday going through our TV storage unit as we sold it and the new ones were delivered in the afternoon. Me and DD built everything (I taught her how to use a drill, she was very excited) so today I've just got to put all the stuff back in. We managed to get down to two bags of dvds. DH and I have got to go through the CDs.

At the moment I'm laying in bed dozing and drinking tea, DH has got to go out soon to collect some horseshoes so will have to get up to supervise DS.
I am meant to meet a friend later for a long overdue catch up and DD wants to come with me to buy a new lamp for said new furniture so we may do that this afternoon. I've spied a gammon joint defrosting so I think we are having that for dinner!

so i am not concerned whether to visit my dm or not!

Everyone else is away for the weekend, and I'm enjoying a lovely lie-in. It's windy and rainy, and I'm looking forward to puttering around a quiet house, getting ready for the coming week.

There's laundry and mending to deal with, and some housework. Got podcasts and Netflix lined up, and a sweet-and-sour for one in the fridge. Will watch some World's Greatest Railway Journeys and pretend I'm on holiday.

Just finishing my coffee before a morning of cleaning and prepping shepherd's pie for dinner. DS is playing with his lego. After lunch DH is going to the football with his mum and I am taking DS to a classmates birthday party. Then we will meet up in the pub before coming home for dinner.

I’m the only one up so enjoying the peace! Once I’ve had some more coffee I need to go pick something up as dh was out last night so I don’t want him driving. Then I’ve a pal coming to collect something around 11, dd coming for lunch then I start work at 3.
Its yucky and rainy so I really don’t want to go out but I’ll have to
