Good morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I've just about drunk my first cup of tea. The only noise is the fridge humming away in here, and occasional bird sound from outside. Lovely!

I said the other day that I wanted a day of "nothing" so have done pretty much everything that needs to be done so I can have a proper day off. I do have 2 wash loads but don't mind them.

We're going to wander to the little asda for some chocolate to try hot chocolate stirrers, and I started pinning a zip in dd2's bag so will probably finish that off. I need to finish off pipe cleaner broomsticks for work too but they'll not take long.

We're having roast pork for tea, not sure whether as a roast or sarnys yet, followed by M&Ms fudge bought at the artisan market we went to yesterday.

Tonight I'll either crochet, or paint my nails then read while they dry. Just not sure which yet.

I’m having a lazy day today, all I need to do is iron school uniforms and cook a roast for tea tonight. Dd15 has been asking for apple crumble for a couple of weeks too so I’ll make one for dessert today.

Dd18 has an interview at 12.30 which dh is taking her to then he’s taking all 3 girls to visit his parents for a few hours so I get the house to myself to just sit and enjoy the peace.

Then after tea it’s homework, bath and bed for the youngest then we’ll sit and watch a few more episodes of Game of Thrones before an early night ready for another week of school runs and work.

I'm on my second coffee, I've prepped Sunday lunch and baked the cinnamon buns that Dh made this morning.

Dh and ds2 are at rugby training and ds1 is still in bed so it's very peaceful here.

I'm going to get on with some planning for school in a minute to leave this afternoon free. We may go for a walk, or we may just light the stove and watch the rugby. It's very grey and drizzly here so plan B is more likely to win.

We've had a few hectic weeks so a restful weekend is exactly what was needed.

A day of nothing much today.
I was going to take the kids for a walk today, but DD is under the weather so got them both in comfy clothes and that’s us for the day.
I have cleaned the kitchen, done the floors, done a wash, dried it and put it away, lit my candles.

Only have school uniforms to iron later, but before then i’m going to make the kids pasta for lunch, steal my ipad back from DS when his has charged and read a book.

Then a low carb mexican feast for tea :) before bath & bed for the kids and I’m A Celeb tonight.

Ooh no it’s not but I’ll note that down for next time.

I am just heading about to buy fireworks and sausages for the BBQ.
We missed the display last night, due to a long running project, so I am surprising my family with a party this evening in the garden.
Otherwise working on my coursework, finishing the washing and getting ready for next week.

Morning, we just made a gingerbread house that collapsed and is now over-decorated ginger biscuits, and going to the allotment later.

Still in bed after a couple of sleepless days / night shifts.

DS is home from uni for a couple of days and has just decided to stay till tomorrow <beams> I can hear him playing guitar in his room and am realising how much I've missed it, it's been the background to our lives for the last 9 years 🙂

We'll either go out for lunch or I'll do a roast here, but no rush. The rain is almost biblical so DDogs may have a shorter walk than usual today.

I always feel bad responding to these threads as I feel my rock n roll lifestyle outdoes everyone elses however todays excitement in this house includes walking the dogs, deep cleaning the bathrooms and clearing out the fridge and freezer.... it is just non stop fun around here.

I also have to go to aldi but I did not want to totally outdo everyone else.

We've had lazy morning. I walked dog, solo listening to SMA podcast and this afternoon helping my son revise for mocks then roast dinner

I had a lovely quiet morning while DDog and DH went for a long walk (and returned looking like drowned rats 🙄). I tidied a kitchen cupboard, did a load of washing, cooked a tray of small baked apples stuffed with dried fruit, sorted out a messy drawer in the bedroom, just little jobs as I pottered about.
A very quiet afternoon, the walkers are fast asleep and I’m reading the Sunday papers.
