Ended up having quite a busy day. Went into town with DD13 - it was fairly sunny when we left so I was in sunglasses & flip flops but as we were parking it absolutely hammered it down so we popped to where I work instead & DD bought some craft bits to decorate her flares for a Harry Styles concert. I’m going to buy a pair too & she will decorate them. Dropped her back home & changed into my boots then went to Tescos for fuel, Asda for a couple of bits I missed in my shopping yesterday ( a beautiful forest green sequinned cami top may have jumped into my trolley!) & finally back to town to exchange a raincoat at Trespass. So happy with it as it has a perfectly fitting hood - so many coats have hoods that are massive on me & drive me mad! Home for a late lunch. DH had hoovered, cleaned out the rabbits & done the dishwasher. He had started to feel achy following his Covid & flu jabs which he had yesterday. DD & I popped over to see DM & DF which was nice as they’d been away. Now chilling with a glass of wine. Will be putting a piri piri chicken in the oven soon to have with French bread, red pepper couscous salad & coleslaw. If I’m not too tired, I’ll write to an old friend later. Recently rediscovered letter writing & I love it. Definitely asking Santa for some classy stationery!

We've just finished an afternoon playing Catan. Eaten a lot of scones. Now I'm going to watch the news and drink tea. Earlier we went to buy loads of veg so I'm planning what to eat for the rest of the week.

Not looking forward to school, it's been a nice half term!

First weekend off in months and I have been made to feel like an imposition. Spent the day crying feeling sorry for myself. Sorry if i bring the tone down

3 dogs all cuddled up to me, DH and I are catching up on tv. Candles lit, tea to drink.

We went out to a lovely dessert place as a treat and now the little 2 are sat on my bed watching telly in their snuggly onesies after their bath. I've finished the ironing and just need to put my fresh bedding on and have a shower, love Sundays like this!

Is dh birthday today , just made a lovely tea made beef wellington youngest ds choose Colin catipiller cake , oldest ds sneaking around making videos of us with new phone . I keep singing Debbie Gibson sings to annoy him it's working

Dc are both revising for exams tomorrow. Dh is flaked out in front of sport having spent the day putting garden furniture etc away. I’ve just had a bath and am about to watch an interior design programme on tv.

Dd recently got into the books so we spent this week watching them.

14yo has a couple of friends round so they've taken over the house. 10yo is hiding in her room, she's shattered but too stubborn to have an early night. DH is downstairs with the new dog and I'm in my bedroom trying not to fall asleep before I ferry the kids home.

Just eaten delicious spicy salmon and noodles. Now sat with a cup of tea scrolling through my phone before watching strictly results.

Tonights plan is shower / hair wash, watch Stanley Tucci’s Italy show, finish my book, then bed.

My husbands in the bath with the baby, he is singing a song in Swedish (no idea what it is), he is singing it very badly so I’m slightly concerned for our daughters hearing.

My son is sat in the front room with me playing with some lego, apparently he is making a lego pumpkin, pumpins are square and multiple colours right? I have the cat on my lap and the dog next to me, the dog usually ignores me, he has only plonked himself next to me as he is jealous of the cat.

Watching Hocus Pocus by candlelight after doing the weekly shop, going for a long walk, planting lots of daffodil bulbs and doing some ironing.
Rest of the household are talking politics around the kitchen table then we are having French bread, cheese, charcuterie etc and a nice glass of wine to end the half term holiday.

Just back from an absolutely lovely day celebrating my mum's 90th birthday - Sunday lunch out then tea, birthday cake and scones at my sister's.
Fire is now lit ready for a chilled evening, although I have got to get some bits ready for work tomorrow and iron school uniform.

We're hungover. Accidentally, so we weren't really ready for it.

But we've had a good day, the extra hour has helped! I've been labelling D's (9) kit for his school residential later this week. I've done all of the lunches for tomorrow and mopped the floor. Pumpkin is carver ready for tomorrow.

We've got some washing to air and washing up to do after dinner, but that's all. So we'll be going to bed early and watching something snuggled up in bed.

And making sure my 5am alarm is set. Waaaah.

Waiting for my 23 yr old it get out the kitchen, so I can get on with my dinner.

Had a lovely walk on my own earlier in the fresh air, dodged a couple of showers under trees!
Now I’ve just changed the bedsheets, so testing them out, dh is cooking roast duck, ds is playing his guitar in his bedroom. Dd2 is out at a gig with a friend.
Ive got a fire going downstairs so just about to go and maybe pour a glass of wine and sit in front of it.
I had sort of forgotten schools are back tomorrow! Ds has his uniform ready but I haven’t thought about lunch stuff 😂

DH is in the kitchen cooking a roast which smells delicious. Dd is practicing her trumpet and ds is watching videos of roller coasters on you tube. I’m faffing about on mumsnet whilst feeling guilty that I have done absolutely zero study all weekend .

Sat on the sofa with a glass of red wine, still full from a massive roast dinner. I'm admiring the smiley pumpkins DS and I carved earlier. Ds is now winding down watching something on his tablet before bed. Looking forward to some crisps and dip in front of the tv later (once the roast has gone down!).

We've had a roast, kids all bathed ready for school tomorrow, dh and ds5 are playing on the switch and I'm on mumsnet! Dh has been working away during the week for years and starts a new job locally next week so its lovely having him home on a cozy Sunday evening

Watching TV with dh and dd. Dd is doing homework at the same time and I need to go and put clean laundry away as it is piled on my bed. Had a quiet day today as I went out last night and had a late night- so was glad of the extra hour!

Chilling and started watching god's favourite idiot as needed a laugh after all the scandi/good nurse stuff I usually watch! dH made a sausage omelette which was so good with a bit of ketchup and Tabasco yum. Thankfully we have no school or work tomorrow yayyyyyyy

I'm in bed with side effects from the Covid booster. I'll be tip top in the morning, I've had the side effect with every one and it's no big deal so don't let anyone be put off by that. Out of the 12 of us in the larger family, only 2 of us have felt really bad.

DS2 (adult) is playing with the dog and the dog is not cooperating.

DH is out running errands.
