Ended up having quite a busy day. Went into town with DD13 - it was fairly sunny when we left so I was in sunglasses & flip flops but as we were parking it absolutely hammered it down so we popped to where I work instead & DD bought some craft bits to decorate her flares for a Harry Styles concert. I’m going to buy a pair too & she will decorate them. Dropped her back home & changed into my boots then went to Tescos for fuel, Asda for a couple of bits I missed in my shopping yesterday ( a beautiful forest green sequinned cami top may have jumped into my trolley!) & finally back to town to exchange a raincoat at Trespass. So happy with it as it has a perfectly fitting hood - so many coats have hoods that are massive on me & drive me mad! Home for a late lunch. DH had hoovered, cleaned out the rabbits & done the dishwasher. He had started to feel achy following his Covid & flu jabs which he had yesterday. DD & I popped over to see DM & DF which was nice as they’d been away. Now chilling with a glass of wine. Will be putting a piri piri chicken in the oven soon to have with French bread, red pepper couscous salad & coleslaw. If I’m not too tired, I’ll write to an old friend later. Recently rediscovered letter writing & I love it. Definitely asking Santa for some classy stationery!

DH and DS grilled teriyaki skirt steak for dinner and I made pasta salad. II'm doing a bit of ironing and watching the news.

DH and I spent the morning cheering on our running club who were doing 8 mile loops up to marathon distance (if you wanted to go that far). We then had a walk in the woods and spent some Zizzis vouchers on lunch. Watched a really distressing war film this afternoon and then Buffy the vampire slayer to calm down!
Tried to eat several times but I'm 34 weeks pregnant and the tiredness and reflux is making me feel sick, as usual.
It's 2am now, I'm eating a cereal bar and contemplating my 5th wee of the night. Maybe my body is getting me ready for a newborn!

Took 3 year old, 3 week old and hubby on steam railways at Tywyn. Played on play equipment till return. Co-op then beach. Got in at 3.30pm quite early but everyone tired! I’m post c section. Then cooked chicken pie , had that and apple crumble. Chilled om sofa till 6 pm and put tired 3 year old to bed. Few bits to do- washing machine and dishwasher. Headed to bed for 8 pm as I’m night feeder…slept till 1.50a,m… bliss been a while since I’ve had more than 3 hours

Grandma here. I've got DGD 7 months here for the day / night to give DDIL a break. My son is away on a surfing trip, so DIL is doing the hard yards with baby and three older children.

DGD is lovely, crawling everywhere and climbing all over me and grandad. What a blessing is a little child.

Can't sleep

Quiet, as it usually is. Rain starting, I can hear it on the metal roof. I'm having a sit down after a vigorous morning of weeding and re-potting. Wind starting up, I can hear it in the pine tree outside. Parakeets squawking. An irate cockatoo down the road kicking off.

I'm poorly with covid booster side effects. I'll spend the day in bed today. Unfortunately DH has no empaphy or thoughtfulness so I'll be dragging my own sorry arse to the kitchen and back today for tea and toast

I am in bed. My DH is snoring. I can hear the cat in the kitchen knocking his empty dish in protest. He will be here shortly to let me know he needs his breakfast. He will take me to the kitchen and we get our breakfast sorted. We then head to the spare room and have breakfast in bed and a little cuddle. He's here...

I decamped to youngest bed in the night as he came in ours. So I'm here on my phone listening to the cat yell at my husband for food. Oldest is up and about I think from the footsteps.

@echt I'm imaging you living somewhere exotic from your description

We are in Germany. Friends came for brunch bringing bread rolls from their local bakery and home made honey from their bee hives all washed down with bucks fizz. Took the dog for a 2 hour walk in the vineyards with views for miles.

They stayed for lunch and once they left I had a 1/2 hour snooze whilst DH took the dog out again.

We watched a Stephen King movie in the evening.

I'm in a Bayside suburb of Melbourne, so far from exotic in many way but it is very quiet, both night and day, more so than some places out in the sticks which surprises me. No big road or railways close by is the answer. Parakeets and cockatoos are quite common, and you can hear them even when you can't see them.

It's only noisy when the sum comes out and every bugger gets their leaf blowers/DIY crap going. GrinIt has been raining for the last five months here, so very quiet. Smile
