We are trying to run down the freezer ready for stocking up for Christmas, so no roast here today. I’m making a keema with Indian spiced roast cauliflower.

Pugdogmom · 30/10/2022 09:05

Today we are having sausages with onion gravy, mashed potatoes and carrot and swede mash. I have fresh veg chopped up in freezer so might throw them into my soup maker

Scoundrella · 30/10/2022 09:08

pasta bake made using filled tortellini. Really easy to make. Just need to whip up a sauce (today will be tomato with hidden veg for the fussy ones) bit of grated cheese on top and some garlic bread & salad on the side.

ds1 has his best friend staying tonight so needed something relatively cheap, easy and big enough for 6 I know they’ll all eat no fuss

Slow cooker stew beef, onions, leeks and carrots with green beans and mash

mamabear715 · 30/10/2022 09:31

Hash - (Northern!) Stewed beef with tons of root veggies in a huge saucepan.. and if I say, with lashings of Henderson's relish, some of you will know exactly where I live! :-)

SquigglePigs · 30/10/2022 09:32

A slow cooked beef stew, mash and veg today I think. It's definitely that kind of weather and we're all recovering from covid so a bit of comfort food is in order.

grayhairdontcare · 30/10/2022 09:40

I could so eat a roast today but we a have a tradition that we don't eat roast dinner from the second Sunday in October until Christmas dinner.
It's so Christmas dinner feels more special 😃
I started this when I couldn't be arsed one weekend, when the children were little and 25 years later, I'm stuck with it 🙄😂

IF I can be arsed to make the pie. Still debating it lol

Justonedayatatime11 · 30/10/2022 09:55

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, carrots, parsnips, leeks, broccoli, cauliflower, sprouts and Yorkshire puddings. Can't wait. And hopefully some homemade brownies for dessert with ice cream

mondaytosunday · 30/10/2022 10:00

Goodness far too early for me to think about dinner, but as you ask I'll think hard and say: lamb with potatoes and veg. Or it could be chicken Kyiv, depends on use by date!

SealSquish · 30/10/2022 10:04

I’m having salmon cooked in soy / chilli / garlic with noodles and broccoli. It’s one of my favourite ”can’t be bothered” meals.

MintyGreenDreams · 30/10/2022 10:14
