Sausage, mash, mixed veg, yorkshires and gravy

dementedma · 30/10/2022 14:32

Toad in the hole with roasted tenderstem broccoli.

EndlessMagpies · 30/10/2022 14:35

Slow-roasted shoulder of pork, crackling, roast potatoes & buttered parsnips, sage & onion stuffing with extra chopped onion and fresh basil, gravy made from the meat juices, carrots, green beans and white cabbage.

Just finished it and very nice it was too - and it was the best crackling I've managed for years.

roast beef, garlic rosemary roasties, roasted carrots and sweet potato, peas and sweetcorn , yorkshires and red wine gravy. Was going to make apple crumble but slightly jaded from a late night so it’s a Mr Kipling apple pie and instant custard for pud 😁

Steak & ale pie , mash and chilli sesame roasted brussel sprouts

CymruChris · 30/10/2022 14:39

Roast chicken, roast potatoes, stuffing, pigs, cabbage, carrots, peas and broccoli.

I'm also making a tomato soup for this weeks lunches 😄

Twinstudy · 30/10/2022 14:40

Roasted cauliflower tacos and veggie chilli nachos. Assuming dh gets coriander while he's out. If not it'll be something else because I can't be bothered to go to the shop!

ODFOx · 30/10/2022 14:54

Roast pork, roast potatoes, red cabbage with apple, cauliflower cheese. DS is doing all of this as I am in bed ill.
I am looking forward to it already.

Leftovers from yesterday's Halloween party so meatball eyes, green pizza empanadas and rice krispie brains and jelly worm cups for pudding

@cookingquestion could I have your recipe for the curry please?

Yes! It's taken from the What Mummy Makes recipe book as I make it for my toddler too.

Diced chicken breasts
Onion
garlic
Tomato purée
Mild (or hot depending on taste) curry powder
Ground tumeric
Ground cumin
Garam masala
Paprika
Frozen peas
Coconut milk
Salt & pepper to season

Serve with basmati rice and naan bread.

Quantity wise I just make it up as I go along and taste it, I don't follow the quantities in the recipe.

I'll post a pic of the page though as a guide for their quantities!

Also I use chicken breasts instead of thighs but that's personal preference I guess! Could use either.

Tonight: breadsticks, garlic and herb philadelphia, ham, cheese, yoghurt, apple, raspberries and quavers

Yesterday: cornflakes and ice cream

Day before: turkey dinosaurs and alphabites

Day before that: fruit toast, banana, yoghurt

LittleBlueBrioTrain · 15/07/2023 20:24

Fuck sake how did I even end up on this thread 😂

NeverHadANickname · 15/07/2023 21:28

Well I'm glad you did! I forgot someone had posted a curry recipe for me.

To go along with the thread 😆 DH has marinated some chicken strips in a jar of curry sauce which he will grill with corn on the cob and I think he made some sort of blue cheese, cucumber, tomato salad thing.
