Is it raining cats and dogs where you are?

Because it is here. Biblical, almost!

What will you be doing on a rainy day like today?

I'm thinking a jigsaw, or something sedate like that. Waiting for everyone to get up, so I'm having a coffee and listening to every single gutter struggling to cope!

Sure is. But rugby is on! Love it 😁

JuneOsborne · 23/10/2022 09:28

Ah, not rugby fans in this house, which is a shame because that'd be a lovely way to spend the day! Who's playing?

Pouring, interferes with the sky signal.

SoapyChoc · 23/10/2022 09:29

Got absolutely soaked walking the dog but now home and going to chill before making a roast. We very rarely have a roast so it will be a real treat. Jigsaw sounds good to me!

JuneOsborne · 23/10/2022 09:31

We have a foster dog. He's terrified of the rain and getting wet. He's curled up tight in his bed with an aura of don't even think about a walk' emanating from him.

Chucking it down here in South East. I have just done the toilet dash with my little dog in her coat (she hates it). Hopefully the hosepipe ban will be lifted!

YorkieTheRabbit · 23/10/2022 09:31

It’s raining but not that bad, it is forecast to get worse though.
Today I’ll be doing a roast, making a white chocolate cheesecake and trying to dodge the worst of the weather while taking the dogs out.

amspeechless · 23/10/2022 09:32

Massive thunderbolt here about 730am ! Am working later so tea in bed for now with my doggie. She has not gone outside yet !

SeptemberSon · 23/10/2022 09:32

Yes, bloody grim here. DS is having a minecraft marathon, DH is in bed and I'm pottering. Taking DS swimming in an hour, then meeting friends for Sunday lunch, then back home to chill out it looks like!

ohforthelife · 23/10/2022 09:33

Yep. Forecast said "light showers" and it's been hammering down since the early hours, ruining my walk plans. Can't even get to the gym as the road is flooded so I might find a cheesy dance workout on YouTube!

onwardandupwards · 23/10/2022 09:34

My 2 and 4 year old want to go out and splash about in it, 2 year old has croup and 4 year old has a awful chest infection so we are just watching the rain by the back door, going to do some arts and crafts bits later with them.

onepieceoflollipop · 23/10/2022 09:34

Yes , Midlands.

little dog hates it he will be escorted out under an umbrella for toileting bless him.

later on - church, swimming, chicken pies and a glass of wine

Decafflatteplease · 23/10/2022 09:35

Yup raining here, water butts overflowing!

We are pottering this morning then swimming this afternoon. Lasagne tonight but trying to make the most of having the oven on (that's a rare sight in this house now having the oven on) so might make a crumble to go in at the same time.

TheGhostOfLiz · 23/10/2022 09:35

Yes! The pond, it overfloweth Smile

But having spent several hard hours yesterday building a shed, I am rather relieved of the 'excuse' to stay indoors today.

I've walked the dog this morning, got thoroughly soggy, come back and changed into dry clothes. I'm now sat with a coffee, preparing to call a good friend for a chat.

I then have some indoor chores to do but think I may venture out just one more time to the shop for something nice to eat while watching a film this afternoon.

CuriousCatfish · 23/10/2022 09:36

It's been pissing down all morning. It's very dark and gloomy here.

CoodleMoodle · 23/10/2022 09:36

South east here. Made it out for my run before it started lashing down. Having a chilled day with DH and DS and then me and DS are driving to DM's for the week (half term). DD is already there for a sleepover (DS won't go without me yet), so it'll be a quiet day without her! Probably jigsaws, screens, PlayDoh. And packing, for me.

DrunkenKoala · 23/10/2022 09:36

It’s stopped now but we had thunder and lightening a couple of hours ago.

Dilbertian · 23/10/2022 09:37

It was, here, until about 10 minutes ago. Now the birds are singing and I have a very damp cat curled up on me. (Hasn't he read the Cat Manual? He's not supposed to like going out in the rain!)

Beees · 23/10/2022 09:39

It's bloody vile here too. We also have a pup who hates the rain so this mornings walk was short and soggy!

Trying to keep a puppy and toddler entertained indoors in this weather is hard work and it shows absolutely no signs of letting up. It's going to be a long day!

Shodan · 23/10/2022 09:40

Bucketing down here too (SE). And so dark! Poor DP has urgent car repairs that must be done today so he's going to get very soggy.

Ooh and thunder just now.

GnomeDePlume · 23/10/2022 09:40

Just back from swimming. I think I got wetter going back to the car!

MariEllie · 23/10/2022 09:43

Yes raining like mad. We’re out to church in a bit so no doubt a few people will be arriving quite wet. Good job the church is warm

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 23/10/2022 09:43

Yes, on and off here (outer SW London). Also had tropical sheets of it yesterday, but not for long.
At least it should🤞be filling up the aquifers after the summer drought.

GodInventedAmazon · 23/10/2022 09:43

Where are you all in the SE? Nothing where I am

Hoppinggreen · 23/10/2022 09:45

It’s chucking it down here and is forecast to all week.
We are also going to Manchester in a bit (where it is also chucking it down). We have to go though because we’ve got tickets for something but will be planning our parking etc with the least amount of being outside as possible
