Yes, he could. It’s a bad situation however it pans out. In my view, best case scenario is some sort of Johnson Sunak deal, with a GE in the diary for Feb 2023.

The Tories are desperate to avoid an early General Election because right now, they'll be annihilated. Johnson's supporters reckon the best way to avoid it is to bring him back and argue that he 'has a mandate'.

If he returns, I'm going to stop watching the news. I can't bear it.

The only way to view this Tory imposed charade is to play the long game.
If Johnson returns as PM then better the chances of the Tories being consigned to oblivion at the next election.

Yes he could. I think he's bluffing at the moment as so few seem to have declared but it looks like Maudaunt will not get to 100 so it will be between BoJo and Rishi and sadly I think BoJo will win. With any luck though he might arrogantly take us to an early election and I think that's what I want, although tbh I'm not sure I trust the public vote either.
