Currently laying on the sofa after a glorious beef panang curry and currently deciding which is the top tier curry

i think it’s a beef panang but could possibly be a massaman 🤔

Saag paneer for quite a while now, but it could change!

RaininSummer · 21/10/2022 19:34

Chicken biryani.
Paneer tikka.

CaramelJones · 21/10/2022 19:39

I'm a curry wuss so probably chicken chasni, korma(a really coconutty one), dopiaza or pardesi.

I used to get the most amazing freshly made vegetable curries, no idea what they were called, they were different every time, from an Asian store when I worked in the area but they no longer sell them. I miss those.

Montague22 · 21/10/2022 19:40

I like to get lots of veggie side dishes so saag paneer or matter paneer, bhindi bhaji, tarka dhal, rice, chapatti and lamb chops. And all the pickles.

jennyt82 · 21/10/2022 19:40

King prawn balti

toastofthetown · 21/10/2022 19:40

For indulgence a dal makhani or butter paneer. I also love a cauliflower korma, a fresh saag paneer or a tadka dal for every day. And any kind of brinjal curry is always welcome.

Leaving the Indian subcontinent, a katsu curry or Thai green curry are firm favourites here.

Rocklobstershell · 21/10/2022 19:41

Yes to Massaman - beef, potatoes and peanuts are a match made in heaven! Made my own for the first time recently and was overjoyed at how easy yet how yummy it was!

CaramelJones · 21/10/2022 19:41

Can I cheat and include cauliflower pakora because that is possibly my favourite thing ever.

BitOutOfPractice · 21/10/2022 19:42

Thai yellow curry

DeannaFromHumanResources · 21/10/2022 19:45

Bill Granger’s Pork Meatballs in Curry Sauce. I use whatever curry paste I have in the cupboard

Lamb passanda.

mrsfollowill · 21/10/2022 19:46

Lamb Biriyani with a peshwari naan or lamb tikka tandoori. I've just had pizza but wish I could have curry now¬

MrsLargeEmbodied · 21/10/2022 19:47

tarka dhal
occasionally muttar panir
chana masala
but that depends

KitKatKit · 21/10/2022 19:47

To the PP stating "chicken biryani" or "lamb biryani" - they aren't curries 🙄

MrsLargeEmbodied · 21/10/2022 19:48

and green thai curry

grapehyacinthisactuallyblue · 21/10/2022 19:49

I cook all sorts of curry, but my favorite is Japanese katsu curry(pork, not chicken). Close second is south Asian curry with fish sauce.( I mix up recipes so can't really say it's Thai or Vietnamese etc.)
For takeaway, definitely lamb bhuna.

Ok. For the fun suckers out there let me retitle the thread

“What is your favourite curry, item you could get at an Indian takeaway or food that is often considered a curry”

👍
