I have met him 3 times during the filming for Gavin and Stacey over the years.
I always found him very funny and friendly.
Its a huge shame If any of the reports are true.

It's similar with Will Smith. Always felt he was off but everyone loved him. Then suddenly the scales fall off everyone's eyes as the true colours become very public.

The thing I can't understand with Corden is his friendship with Ruth Jones as I just can't see how she would stand for the way he is now.

Good for the restaurant manager for not standing up for it for himself or his staff. It's bad enough when an ordinary person acts up for some attention and free drinks/meals, but JC is neither short of attention nor money, so it must be purely a bullying/power game for him. Also, unlike some unknown nobody, he must know that the news will get out - so he doesn't even turn on the pretend charm.

Shame, as I really do love Gavin & Stacey.

I’ve been to the restaurant. It’s one of the most popular restaurants in New York. This incident won’t cause any damage to its reputation at all. I suspect it’s more about appearing to be the bigger person.

Always disliked him. There was a rumour he viewed his staff on Late Late as lessers and wouldn't talk to them. Then someone on his dare show asked him to name any of his camera men and he couldn't.

@Glitteratita. no, I meant that Corden's apology was to avoid bad publicity not that the owner accepted it to avoid bad publicity. The way I wrote it was confusing, sorry!

I think the airline ban was Ryanair's little joke on Twitter. Unless he has indeed been banned for real from some other airline. The replies are good, particularly those that don't understand it's a joke.

Don't usually agree with slating people I don't or will never know. However there have been one too many stories crop up about him being unpleasant, arrogant and rude. He does give off that vibe. I've never understood why the Americans love him much and he gets all these big gigs. Carpool Kareoke is pure cringe.

The mask has slipped a few times now (that's incident with Patrick Stewart was another example of him being a twat). Glad he's finally getting called out.

He's famously a huge twat isn't he. Years ago I read a story by someone who'd been near him on a plane and was amazed at his tolerance with an agitated baby next to him. Apparently the baby was screaming and doing the full meltdown and James just quietly asked to move as he was tired and got another seat a few rows back, popped his mask on and went to sleep. The punchline was of course that it was his partner and baby next to him and he fucked off and left her to it. Because he is a cunt.
