Does anyone work in M&S food? What's it like?

I've always thought it must be a nice job, no idea if the reality matches my little daydream though!

I said this to someone else the other day who asked the same question - I don't think the M&S troll is intelligent enough to be the water troll.

I don't think so. The water troll gets aggressive when you point out they are a troll. M&S troll, not so much.

What reason do you think?
You might be right
The water troll seems to start off with a 'believable' post that descends into conspiracy theories a few comments in and the M&S troll starts off immediately about M&S.
Their posting styles seem different to me.

OP, assuming you are not the very strange MNetter who bitterly started many threads about M&S and it’s recruitment process (she was rejected after interview)… 😬😄

One thing I don’t understand is how they recruit! My DD was looking for work and no jobs were ever advertised on their website for our local branch.
Applications need to be made online (not in store) and there are always new/different faces working there. How do they apply for the job online if it isn’t advertised ?

Have been a regular M&S customer since forever, it’s clear they have a lot of long standing staff members so they must do something right when it comes to how they are as employers. They do look busy in the food hall so if that’s the kind of pace and environment your think you would thrive in then apply!

I was subbed steak cut chips last week, instead of regular chips, and it did make me think fondly of the M&S troll.... and you know what, they are actually quite nice! Even if they will only ever be paired with fish fingers...

I loved the M&S troll threads. Is the water troll the one who said that lots of rivers were formed in the tracks of giant sea monsters that could go inland 😂😂 and the government know about these sea monsters which are still around?
