We've just got a notice of our direct debit for the next 6 months. (We also got a refund since the last increase Confused). So DP wondered how we compared and I said I knew where to ask. Would anyone be happy in sharing the following?

We intend to use the log burner a lot more this year as we are then paying for logs etc up front. Don't forget to submit meter readings before the 1st October

Accommodation type: 3 bed detached, double glazed and insulated well. Thermostat rarely goes under 15 even in depth’s of winter when heating off overnight.
Number of people: 2/3
Monthly cost of gas and/or electric: September £36 actual usage, direct debit is £140 due to rebate and averaged out for year taking into account winter usage
Lifestyle factors: at home but away a bit if the time. Heating not turned on yet - will towards end of October as it gets colder

3 bed (4 floors though as we have a basement where I work. So 8 rooms)end terrace.
2 adults and 2 primary age dc
£180 per month duel fuel with bulb. We're nearly £400 in credit.
I work from home so someone is in the house a lot. We run a dryer and the washing machine is on all of the bloody time. We keep the house comfortably warm for us but people have commented that we keep it cooler than theirs!

£135 p/m combined. Flexible 7 rate

2 WFH. Every day includes 1 x dishwasher (eco), 1 x washing machine (eco), 30 mins gas hot water for 3 showers, electric cooker and induction hob for probably 1hr. Gazillion kettle boils. Occasional drying rack. Laptops on all day. Currently no heating, top up with wood burner the last 3 evenings.

Turned underfloor heating off. Turned the hot water and radiator temperature down on the boiler too.

We have a part timer (DSS) eow but he has little impact.

I changed to paying what we owe because Shell were wanting 3 x what we paid and even with October's increase its ridiculous.

Lifestyle factors: No tumble drier i use an airer in a bedroom with the window open. House very insulated and never gets cold. Set for 19 in the winter but not on at night.

4 bed new build, high ceilings and big windows.

4 of us live here, but we have people staying more than we don't.

I work from home mostly, I also have a fish tank that's a massive power drain.

We are with octopus and fixed last august for 24 months. My last gas and electric bill was £145 for august.

I have gas and electric - gas is dd and electric is pay as you go.
alot of these costs sound on the cheaper side.
