M&S statement re The Queen

I find it really odd that M&S have chosen to email me a statement about the Queen. Everywhere else just seems to be putting it on their website. It's not saying their shops are closed or anything. It just seems a strange thing to do. Is that just me?

The person complaining about the lack of mourning borders on websites is bonkers.

I haven't had any queenie emails, not even from Waterstones who spam me every day.
Quietly pleased, my republican vibes must be scaring companies away from my email !

I have unsubscribed from every company who has emailed me about this. It is worth doing as they will always be monitoring unsubscribe rates on their emails. At least the marketing dept will get the message that they can’t assume everyone is a royalist.

I’m sure they will be upset.

i am not a royalist but it nice to mark the death of someone important passing.
if you really think only shops that are doing this just and just to get money in its offensive.

I have loads of such messages in my emails from companies.
I know what they are going to say. Why open the email if it annoys you so much
Why waste your time going into the website and unsubscribing

It really doesn't take long it's like one or two clicks usually and tidies up the inbox going forward.
