Sadly, it looks like we'll soon have a new monarch, King Charles, and presumably he'll be known by that title immediately.

Will the Duchess of Cornwall be Queen Camilla straight away?

I can't work out whether this is because he has confirmed this or they've just assumed it? I can't imagine they would make such a big gaffe so presumably that will be his royal name?

Huw has just said he will be known as Charles III so maybe it is official - my apologies to the PM if so.

To add, I think Charles III is the right choice - he has been 'Charles' too long to change now. I believe originally the idea was mooted to disassociate him from the executed Charles I and the 'Merry Monarch' Charles II, but at the age of 73, Charles III he has built his own reputation for good or bad.

Yes, they are - but it will be up to their parents whether they want to use the titles. They don't all - Lady Louise Wessex never has.

Yes, I think so. And all the duchy of Cornwall revenue from various estates, etc which the duchy administers.

The notice just put on the gate at Buckingham refers to her as Queen Consort.

Presumably just to distinguish her from her recently departed MiL but the official title for wife of The King is The Queen!

Like the Queen Mother - she was a Queen. That was her title. But she wasn't The Queen.
