Was anyone else at the Barbican last night and saw Divine Comedy perform this? 😄

Ahh the memories! I know this song word for word as I was Father Ted obsessed, it plays in my head whenever someone talks about a horse 😆 love it! A firm classic in my book!

Love Father Ted so much. Spent many a happy evening in my student halls watching the videos, stoned and/or drunk with my flatmates 😂

I even made my flatmate Jim a little stained glass window that said 'Father Jim' like the one on the credits. Good times!

My horse is actually named after a Father Ted character, and is quite well known in certain circles (cannot say more than that because I’ve probably outed myself already!) When we took part in a particular high profile sports event, my entire support crew were dressed in T shirts with the psychedelic horse’s head on the front and the words My Lovely Horse emblazoned across the chest. The number of people who came up to us and professed a love of the song was quite pleasing. I’ve lost track of the number of people I’ve made watch the YouTube video of it. 🤣
