Past Times - the shop

Anyone else used to love the Past Times shop? I miss it. It was like a museum but you could buy everything as it was just fake old stuff. I loved it as a child.

Have just ordered The Museum Collection catalogue, thank you.
I loved Past Times.
I still have my carved wooden mouse doorstop.
I loved the jewellery and they had wonderfully quirky books.
Used to love a browse there.

Oh , I remember , I bought Angel Chimes .
My parents had a set when I was a child , I bought some when my DS was little (had to hide it behind the fireguard as candles )

The sound of the little bells ringing was just as magical as I remembered .

Yes browsing! They were good browsing shops. I guess that's why they don't exist any more.

I loved Past Times! I still have quite a lot of their stuff. The catalogue was just lovely - I miss it.

We have some enamel Christmas tree bells from there which I really treasure. I wish I’d bought more.

Past Times was the place most people bought my Christmas and birthday presents as I loved it. Still have jewellery, vases, trinket boxes, books, pictures and frames. I get a lot more bouquets of flowers since it shut! But not complaining. Will be checking out Museum Collection and letting my family know too.

Loved it! Used to buy my Nan presents for Xmas and birthdays from there. This post has made me all nostalgic x

I'm wearing a celtic ring with a black stone from Past Times! I also have a lovely notebook from there, which I've never used as it's too nice.

I had several Victorian nightdresses from there and used to go about the house imagining I had a candle and I was in a Dickens ghost story 😂

I loved Past Times and have a lovely pair of reproduction Art Deco dress clips that can be worn on the neckline of a dress or a low cut sweater, on the front of suede shoes, etc. Really very versatile and add a touch of vintage. They look stunning on black velvet.

Omg I loved this shop. Had forgotten all about it. 90s retail was just the best.

I feel like the Museum Selection should be giving me commission 😂 The christmas stuff is lovely. Some of the quality can be a bit variable, so if you're ordering some thing for a gift give yourself a but of time!

Yes loved it! I had my favourite mug from there for 12 years and it broke this year, I was gutted when I realised it was closed for good!

Loved Past Times

Yes, really miss it. Still have three sweet pottery Christmas angels from there.

I loved past times. They had a great line in sealing wax and stamps, and velvet scarves.

Talking of 90s retail, how about Wax Lyrical and their floating candles?

Thanks for the tip about the Museum Selection, have ordered a catalogue and I'm happily browsing! If anyone can come up with something similar for The Pier my night would be complete! (loved both those shops).
