Scammed on vinted!

Please read! I’m a bit stressed out and unsure what to do…I bought a Dior bag on vinted 2 days ago for £150 the seller had no reviews but I’ve bought from sellers without reviews before so thought nothing of it until I got a message from the seller that seemed a bit automated almost like a robot had written it I decided to brush it under the carpet however I bought another designer bag on vinted again today for around the same price and I was suprised to see straight after purchasing I got a message from the seller almost identical to the seller of the dior bag and now I’m worried that these “sellers” are actually bots or whatever scamming people and I’ve fallen for it twice! I’ve messaged the sellers but haven’t had any response they’ve not even read my messages…I did get an email today to say the bag I purchased 2 days ago will arrive by end of tomorrow but on vinted it says the bags not been posted so not sure if that emails part of their scam. I’m feeling rather upset about it all as I spent about £300 in total on these two items and can’t afford to lose that money please can anyone give me advice or any help towards this not looking to be judged. Was thinking if the items never show up then I can let vinted know and then I’ll get my money back or if they show up (doubt they will) and aren’t what was described I can show vinted and get my money back but just a bit stressed still.

COLLECTION ONLY SCAM

There are many scams on Vinted. Eg: the criminal writes on the advert “to collect” only(/….the buyer asks for it it’s possible for it to be posted.

the criminal buys a receipt but doesn’t take a parcel to post office.

Somehow The criminal overrides the vinted system - and seems to be able to pose as the buyer and send messages to notify Vinted that the item was received & there was no problem …but that information doesn't show up in the buyers dialogue (buyer totally unaware).

So, the criminal gets paid & at the same time the criminal is also assuring the buyer that parcel will arrive and to be patient … and criminal is off with the cash which is probably £1000’s per week

vinted is flawed as criminals are overriding the system - there needs to be a safer way …

I have also got scammed and vinted were not helpful. I went yo pick up my handbag which I purchased only to see a empty bag. Post office guy told me to complain. I fid and was told if the seller says the bag wasn't picked up then I will get refund otherwise nothing they can do. Pathetic really.

I noticed last week a sudden surge of these types of sellers with names made up of random letters, no seller history- selling Hoka trainers at strange prices, all photographed on beds with different coloured sheets. I reported to Vinted but I don’t see why I should have to do their research. I only buy low priced items/bargains & I wouldn’t risk anything else until they get their act together.

Yes, it seems that it is a scammer if it has random numbers and letters in the username. Try and stay away from from these dodgy scammers' we have alot of them more and more often these days, I hop this helps!
