So for me it's Gavin and Stacey and Friends. Whenever I need some comfort, they go on.

What's yours and what do you think it is that makes something 'comfort telly'?

Four in a Bed. I love that it is so formulaic, and also how rude people are!

Historical stuff like Downton Abbey, call the midwife, the Durrells.
Or complete fantasy in different universes like his dark materials, Dr who, the sandman etc
Basically as far away from contemporary realism as I can get

Oh yes that's good.
And....90 Day Fiancé.
Just discovered Hell Road. Lots of gnarly, rugged, weathered men who clear up huge crashed and overturned trucks in remote places in horrendous weather. Gripping!

Carrieonmywaywardsun · 18/08/2022 18:19

Gilmore girls. Cosy, minimal drama, american but not too american. No major deaths, small town charm etc.
