I solved today's Redactle (#159) in 108 guesses with an accuracy of 62.04%. Played at www.redactle.com/

Had no idea about that at all. Never heard of the title. How can anyone just guess that in two?

I solved today's Redactle (#159) in 33 guesses with an accuracy of 66.67%. No idea about this one, made a couple of lucky guesses and did a lot of Googling.

It took me lots of guesses (no way would I get that in 2) but I did know the subject well known to not need Google once I’d got the key word.

I solved today's Redactle (#159) in 243 guesses with an accuracy of 33.33%. Played at www.redactle.com/

I really need to remember to turn off the automatic pluralizer! Let's call it a square 122 instead.

I solved today's Redactle (#159) in 2 guesses with an accuracy of 100.00%. Played at www.redactle.com/

For those who want to know how to do it in so few guesses this is my process: I look for specific patterns of text and format that provide a clue as to the nature of the entry. Then from that I can deduce the answers before putting any test words in. Having been wrong a couple of times, I now always check my guesses on Wikipedia to confirm my suspicions before entering my guessed title words.

ErrolTheDragon · 12/09/2022 19:57

Worked out enough specifics to be pretty sure I wouldn't know the answer and googled.

I solved today's Redactle (#159) in 3 guesses with an accuracy of 100.00%. Played at www.redactle.com/

The 'pleasing symmetry' comment yesterday tickled me... very appropriate for the pedantle topic but having looked at some of the photos of that architects work ... not so much for the redactle. This one in particular....wtf would you design a centre for brain health, of all things, to look like you're hallucinating? Hard to imagine what the rooms are like.ConfusedGrin

InMySpareTime · 13/09/2022 20:31

The ones who got yesterday's in 2, what on Earth was in the unredacted text that could have possibly revealed enough about that guy?
I figured out it was a still alive person (probably a man statistically) with dual nationality (both nationalities 8 letters) born in an 8 letter month. 5 letters in first and last name. I don't see what else was evident from the text.
I only had enough to work from once I had the nationalities, and even then it was a trawl through Wikipedia.

I mean, it's entirely possible to change your stats before posting. Not pointing fingers, just saying it's possible.
