What colour Le Pliage?

Nice dilemma to have, I know.
I've saved up and treating myself to a new work bag. But what colour??? Can't be too light as I'll be sad if it gets grubby too quickly!
At the moment erring between classic black and
the brown (cognac) - love 'safari' but a bit light?

Not black. I like the cognac or the green.

KitchenTable87 · 27/07/2022 10:07

Thanks! Why not black, out of interest?

Not camel - I got one and it's lovely on the outside BUT the lining is white, and it looks a bit crap. I wish I'd bought black.

I think what I thought was camel is the cognac - I'd say no to that because of the lining.

Fraaahnces · 27/07/2022 10:11

Cognac… It will stand the test of time.

ThatshallotBaby · 27/07/2022 10:11

I think it limits what you can use it with, and it’s quite harsh. The cognac would go with everything, navy, green, , pink - I think black only really looks good with black, grey or white, it’s a bit limiting.

ThatshallotBaby · 27/07/2022 10:12

But it’s really up to you!!
i don’t really like black handbags or shoes Wink

ThatshallotBaby · 27/07/2022 10:13

Didn’t mean to put winky face

Badger1970 · 27/07/2022 10:17

I like the Turtledove colour. Neutral enough to go with whatever you're wearing.

FlippinOmicron · 27/07/2022 10:23

I have black and camel ones.
The camel because I like the colour and the black because it is practical.
They are both backpacks.

completelyunderwhelmed · 27/07/2022 10:34

I have the black. Its great but I never wear it anymore because it so 'office-y' (bought a few years ago) and times have changed.

Navy or Turtledove.

They are so durable and roomy.

Yes, that's put into words how I feel about the black! It's lovely looking but almost 'too' smart - I'm a teacher and live in Seasalt dresses 😄

Cognac 😂. It's brown, one of the most depressing colours ever!

I'd go for the Orange or Cypress (green). Something to stand out and bring a bit of colour and fun into things. It's not an investment bag, so go for something to make you stand out.

NiqueNique · 27/07/2022 11:27

Given your profession and wardrobe, definitely the tan colour. Black is too harsh and doesn’t go well with that vibe (as I picture it).

Partyrings123 · 27/07/2022 11:29

I have the brown and blue and prefer the brown.

MadameCholetsDirtySecret · 27/07/2022 11:33

Saffron. It’s brighter. I have it in that colour and it’s fab.

Justlovedogs · 27/07/2022 11:36

For what it's worth, I'd go for either the red or green, but then I never really worry about bag coordinating with outfit unless I'm going out!

I love brown!!!
And I definitely don't want to stand out - I prefer to blend in and be completely inconspicuous 😳
(I do agree the bright colours are lovely, tho.)

Thanks all - I'm heading out to the shop later today so I'll let you know what I get!

I couldn’t see it but if there’s a khaki/olive green that’s also a very good option for you - very versatile, pretty much goes with everything.

For many people, it IS an investment bag. The OP says she's been saving up for it.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/07/2022 11:53

Agree that black won't really work with a Seasalt dress sort of vibe!

NancyJoan · 27/07/2022 11:53

I don't like the Cognac at all. Black with silver hardwear is nice, but I actually prefer the green.

rightonthyme · 27/07/2022 11:58

YABVU, switch to a rucksuck and it will change your life ;)I would personally pick the red as it's close to an oxblood colour which I looooove, or the "Paper" colour but would get grubby. "Cypress" looks like a something you would take camping so not that.

NiqueNique · 27/07/2022 12:03

Navy is also a good neutral - less harsh than black and goes nicely with lots of colours. Really interested to see which one OP goes for! Wish I could buy a bag right now but I must be sensible, so vicarious thrills it is!
