What colour Le Pliage?

Nice dilemma to have, I know.
I've saved up and treating myself to a new work bag. But what colour??? Can't be too light as I'll be sad if it gets grubby too quickly!
At the moment erring between classic black and
the brown (cognac) - love 'safari' but a bit light?

I’ve always had them in navy - the lighter colours get stained and dirty very easily. Bought a blush one a few years ago and regretted it within weeks!

SpaghettiSquash · 27/07/2022 12:36

I love my black one for work but want to get a navy or green one. I've had mine a couple of years but it gets used every day. The corners are starting to show some wear now. I wish they were reinforced in the leather.

@KitchenTable87 - we have very different tastes! I'd still veer away from the brown.....the grey (turtle dove) is a neutral which would go with anything.

Enjoy your new bag when you get it,

It depends on what colours you tend to wear, tbf. There are very few true neutrals, as cool colours need a cool neutral and warm colours need a warm neutral. So it depends on the wardrobe of the person wearing it.

What's the safari colour, I can only see desert?

LunaLoveFood · 27/07/2022 14:42

I like the orange or red.

Peony15 · 27/07/2022 14:55

The brown looks very chic and will literally go
with everything, summer or winter. I adore their bags and have lots , prefer the ones where the handle colour matches the bag.
I even bought travel sized ones for my DS 18th Birthdays ( Boxford black ) .
They were thrilled.
Longchamp make great products.

I bought a navy one four years ago and it still looks great and works with every outfit. Enjoy your new bag!

IRememberXanadu · 27/07/2022 15:02

I have the dark grey (not listed so maybe discontinued) in four different sizes - it goes with every colour under the sun and doesn't show the dirt. I love mine!

RockStarMartini · 27/07/2022 15:02

I'm hoping to get one soon and am leaning towards the Turtledove which looks a lovely shade of grey. Agree it is an investment, for me anyway, so it's important to make the right choice - let us know what you go for OP.

NightCrow · 27/07/2022 11:26

Cognac 😂. It's brown, one of the most depressing colours ever!

I'd go for the Orange or Cypress (green). Something to stand out and bring a bit of colour and fun into things. It's not an investment bag, so go for something to make you stand out.

Bit rude - £100 would be an investment bag for me and seems to be for the OP, too.

Luxembourgmama · 27/07/2022 15:15

Not pale pink it gets grubby so easily

Blondeissimo · 27/07/2022 15:22

The green cypress colour is lovely, I've just bought it. It's perhaps a tad darker IRL than on the site bug I think that's a good thing. The green goes beautifully with the brown leather too.

countdowntonap · 27/07/2022 15:23

I use my black one almost every day - it’s my go to beach bag and gym bag.
I love my Neo Pliage in all black too.

FairyLightAddict · 27/07/2022 15:30

I have black. It's lasted years and years.

ihearttc · 27/07/2022 15:34

I have a gunmetal grey one. It’s perfect cause it goes with all colours but doesn’t get dirty.

Whatwouldnanado · 27/07/2022 16:07

I have navy with tan trim and love it. My colouring is warm, Spring, so these colors go with everything.

AbleCable · 27/07/2022 16:11

I have the blue (which is a deep dark purple colour) and love it!

rightonthyme · 27/07/2022 11:58

YABVU, switch to a rucksuck and it will change your life ;)I would personally pick the red as it's close to an oxblood colour which I looooove, or the "Paper" colour but would get grubby. "Cypress" looks like a something you would take camping so not that.

I can't find the rucksacks on the website

Wouldloveanother · 27/07/2022 16:29

It’s got to be navy although that’s not on your list!

countdowntonap · 27/07/2022 16:37

Also, wait until they’re on offer. I got my second one in the Selfridges sale and they’re on BrandAlley every few weeks. Unless you want you bag to be personalised with your initials there’s no need to order from Longchamp.

NightCrow · 27/07/2022 16:50

@rocketfromthecrypt - firstly I was poking fun at the brand for calling brown cognac - it's a personal hate.....just because you call it a fancy name doesn't change whet it is.

Secondly the OP hasn't taken offence - we have very different taste.

Thirdly, just because you save for something doesn't make it an investment piece. The bags are well made and very durable, but they are a daily use/utility type bag. It's not rude to say that. I've had one for 5 years and it's great for chucking stuff in for a day out or lugging about your work stuff. But it's not a bag that will ever be valuable/have a high resale value.

It is what it is and as I said before I hope the OP enjoys it, whichever colour way she picks.

KitchenTable87 · 27/07/2022 17:25

I'm back!
And I chose...
Cognac! (Brown 😄.)
I'm very happy - it's totally my colour and will go well with the stuff I wear, summer and winter.
The inside is indeed white but I think it'll be easier to find things (plus I've ordered a rigid organiser thingy as I'll have files etc to carry).
Thank you all for your suggestions!
