What colour Le Pliage?

Nice dilemma to have, I know.
I've saved up and treating myself to a new work bag. But what colour??? Can't be too light as I'll be sad if it gets grubby too quickly!
At the moment erring between classic black and
the brown (cognac) - love 'safari' but a bit light?

I have a gunmetal grey one. It’s perfect cause it goes with all colours but doesn’t get dirty.

That's a lovely colour - my DD already has that one though and she didn't want her Mum to have the same! 😄

Glad you love it. It is very beautiful (on the outside)!

Did I read correctly - is this a canvas bag? Because that’s a bag I can definitely get on board with at the moment...if I was buying a bag, that is...

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 27/07/2022 18:28

I'd have gone for that one too I think OP.

Maybe you can change your feeling about the inside...lovely and bright, easy to find things, reminiscent of snowdrops etc 😁

They are a kind of thick canvas, yes, with leather 'trims' and a solid zip. Really hard-wearing and they weigh virtually nothing when empty. Top quality!

Ohhh nice. I’ve wanted a Le Pliage for years but not all that keen on the vinyl (?) ones and I’ve got plenty of leather bags already. I was thinking just the other day that the only thing I really need and might be able to justify at some point is a canvas bag!

DelisButAlsoCrime · 27/07/2022 19:08

I have a few - my last one I designed myself, go into the Longchamp website and you can fully customise/personalise - it’s like a dusky dark pink and navy, I love it!

Hersetta427 · 07/08/2022 21:04

If you can definitely go for a neo. The nylon is much thicker to make them long lasting. I have a navy with red trim, a dark grey with yellow trim and an all orange smaller version. Love them all. Can’t go wrong with navy, black or grey though.I regularly through mine in the washing machine and they come up beautifully so get whatever colour you want.

Nope. I still hate it!

They're not canvas - they're sort of (very nice tbf!) plastic stuff.

NiqueNique · 07/08/2022 22:25

Oh, so just the usual Le Pliage then?

Ah well, I really shouldn’t buy another bag anytime soon!

KitchenTable87 · 08/08/2022 12:30

Update - I've bought a brilliant insert which gives the bag shape and has a million compartments to organise stuff. Highly recommended!

@NiqueNique Yep

@KitchenTable87 Good find! II made some little zipped pouches to keep bits and bobs in inside mine, because I didn't get on with the insert thing I bought - yours looks better.

NiqueNique · 08/08/2022 20:16

Ah thanks @RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie i got all excited there...

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 08/08/2022 20:23

For canvas-ish, Kipling maybe worth a look? Not as beautiful as Longchamp though!

FirstFallopians · 08/08/2022 20:51

I have a couple of Le Pliage and can vouch that they can go through the washing machine, which has revived my turquoise and bright red ones.
