Who loves your dog, home and garden, isn't much of a drinker or a traveller, what would you like for your birthday?! Budget about £20.

A cream cake for me and a nice dog treat for my dog. Or a really nice dog lead. (I love a nice padded handle yet soft lead, preferably wide, highly visible with a good chunky clip).

Hopefully we aren't buying for the same person, but I've ordered my friend Nesti Dante soaps, as she's trying to be plastic free so has switched to bars.

Isn't that more a gift for the dog?! I'm sure she would like cake though 😋

I was given a rose bush which shared my name for my birthday, which was lovely. I'd also like perhaps a voucher to buy a book, or for a nice cafe or coffee shop so I can treat myself. Or stationery, a nice set of pens or a notebook.

An Emma Bridgwater dog mug if they have them with friends dog breed on it?

I don't think this friend is much of an eco warrior, but it's given me an idea for another birthday!

A plant for my garden, wax melts, candles, soap bar for hair - luxury stuff

justforthisnow · 15/07/2022 20:07

A voucher for local posh garden centre with home goods and offer to bring for lunch at the same place.

CheshireCats · 15/07/2022 20:10

L'Occitane hand cream and soap.

Chasingsquirrels · 15/07/2022 20:10

I do like travel, but other than that meet your description.

I'd like chocolates, an orchid, flowers, nice house plant.

Sorefrog · 15/07/2022 20:11

Is there a garden centre with a nice cafe near her? I’m under your age limit but there’s one near me that has lovely fresh food and very good cakes and pastries. A £20 voucher would buy coffee, cake, a plant and a dog toy - all garden centres sell dog toys.

Actually, I'd much rather go for lunch or coffee & cake with my friend than receive a gift from them.

rookiemere · 15/07/2022 20:13

A really nice shower gel and/or a metal water bottle. Friend got me a water bottle a couple of years ago and I've used it so much and think about her every time I use it.

user50and · 15/07/2022 20:14

Some lovely shower gel/bath oil/body lotion

Alphabet1spaghetti2 · 15/07/2022 20:14

@ohblowmedown 🤣🤣 yes, but you asked what I would like - and a lovely lead would be for me to use and a dog treat (or anything that makes my dog happy) would make me happy - as you’ve acknowledged my passion and gives me something in accordance with that.
Also I could eat my cake in peace….!!

OldTinHat · 15/07/2022 20:16

A craft kit - something like a cheese making kit or macrame plant holder! Had both, loved both!

NotMeNoNo · 15/07/2022 20:19

Amazing chocolate from artisan shop.
Isle of Skye candle
Faith in Nature toiletries
Plant for house or garden

Spangledstarlight · 15/07/2022 20:19

Another vote for a lunch or coffee and cake rather than a gift, experiences much nicer!

Rina66 · 15/07/2022 20:21

A potted garden plant
A garden centre voucher
Potted herbs
Nice lounging PJ's
Sleep head phones
Packing cubes incase I do leave the house

Dacquoise · 15/07/2022 20:23

A ladybird house for my garden so I don't have to use pesticides on my roses. I got one for Christmas. It looks very cute on the wall.

perimenofertility · 15/07/2022 20:27

I'm 40s but otherwise same category. I love any presents related to my dog. Someone bought me a personalised tag which is now on my keyring. It has my dogs initial inside a paw print which is inside a heart. As I type this I realise how crazy-dog-lady I sound, but I do really love it!

PoppyBird · 15/07/2022 20:29

I like just iustforthisnow's suggestion. I receive a lot of dog-themed gifts (mugs, scarves, dog toys etc) and while I do appreciate them, I'd prefer a voucher and/or lunch.

StopStartStop · 15/07/2022 20:29

A soft cushion. No gems or sequins, just soft.

NashvilleQueen · 15/07/2022 20:30

Always a plant
