I love the heat in the day, I'll jump in the pool with the children (or even on my own). But when it's over 20 at this time of night HOW THE FUCK AM I MEANT TO SLEEP 😭. I haven't fully slept for at least 3 nights now and I'm tired.

20 is room temp, what are you on about?

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 12/07/2022 00:37

25 here.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 12/07/2022 00:38

Go and have a cold shower and keep your hair wet.

20 is the outside temperature, I have no idea of the indoor temperature. I'm guessing it's more

24 here.

mrsg2019 · 12/07/2022 00:45

I'm in Australia... 20 at night in summer would be an absolute BLESSING

I think the shower would wake everyone up (it's loud). I might just wet my hair

Genuine question do you have air con? I'm currently watching married at first sight Australia, it looks so nice out there.

It's gonna be 40 at the weekend!

Wafflesnsniffles · 12/07/2022 01:20

Its 26 indoors here.

SunflowerGardens · 12/07/2022 01:24

17° here but there is a nice breeze coming through the window and some rain which helps.

ZeroFucksGiven20 · 12/07/2022 01:33

It will be Winter before we know it so I'm trying not to moan although it's hard when the sweat is pissing out of you.
It's 18 here but feels like 21 according to my phone. Not too bad. It's supposed to be cooler tomorrow night.

MeanderingGently · 12/07/2022 02:18

It's still 24 outside here, I've had the air con on all day as my flat heats up in the sun, kept the curtains closed....indoors it's now got to about 21 degrees. I can't sleep with it that hot, I usually keep the flat at about 16 degrees at night which is bliss to sleep in.
I bloody hate summer, roll on winter, I am dreaming about snow....

mackthepony · 12/07/2022 02:21

Wet sheets?
Take your socks off?

Iced tea?

PinkButtercups · 12/07/2022 02:21

It's 18 outside apparently but 23 inside.
I got the windows open but the sewage plant down the road is extra stinky tonight 🤮. Usually we don't smell it but it's wafting right down tonight!
Also pregnant with twins and cannot get comfy 🙃.

BlackeyedSusan · 12/07/2022 06:54

It's 25 degrees in my flat currently and feels quite cool, comparatively.

TheBikiniExpert · 12/07/2022 07:00

My room was 28 all night. I hate summer.

mrsg2019 · 12/07/2022 08:25

We have air con but it's water based and makes the air super humid, makes your sheets damp and makes you feel even hotter and stuffier when it's really hot. When it hits 30+ degrees at night - there's no saving it. We're visiting family in the U.K. over Christmas to try and escape it a bit

Florin · 12/07/2022 08:27

We are camping with child and dog, it is hot! Thankfully camping next to a river and there is a coolish cafe.

thereisonlyoneofme · 12/07/2022 09:40

It was 26 indoors at 11 pm and 24 this morning at 6 am !

Try rescue blankets over the windows instead of just curtains, they do miracles in keeping out heat and they're so thin you can fully close the windows over them and still let light in. Available for pennies on the internet or raid your car's first aid kit if necessary.
And yes tropical nights - that's anything 20 degrees and above bottom temperature- are shit.

TheWristBoundLatexBitch · 13/07/2022 01:25

24 tonight. Trying the wet flannel on neck.

I know @TheWristBoundLatexBitch 😩 feels like there's no air! Feels a lot warmer than last night here.

I froze a bottle of water and took it up with me, went to drink just over an hour later and it was fully melted and warm!! Envy

The fan temperature gauge said 32 at 1am. It took under 5 minutes for my soaking wet, long hair to dry.

I think I might scream if it gets hotter. Which it will.
