I love the heat in the day, I'll jump in the pool with the children (or even on my own). But when it's over 20 at this time of night HOW THE FUCK AM I MEANT TO SLEEP 😭. I haven't fully slept for at least 3 nights now and I'm tired.

The fan temperature gauge said 32 at 1am. It took under 5 minutes for my soaking wet, long hair to dry.

I think I might scream if it gets hotter. Which it will.

It's hotter. How are you? I'm currently feeling really sick with it, it's 27 outside, not sure inside.

28 outside here. 30 by 7am. Joy.

I've got 30 at 8 am and thought that was bad. Driving lesson at 12 and hoping it's cancelled as I can't cope with this heat and it'll be worse in a car (when I'm anxious and sweat every lesson anyway Blush)

Surely being in a car with air conditioning is one of the best places to be at midday tomorrow

It's 29.4 in my bedroom right now!

It's gonna be 40 at the weekend!

Not in the U.K. it’s not…the weather breaks mid week and the temperature drops 10 degrees!

My instructor tells me how great the aircon is and then opens the windows. I've yet to see the aircon. We were stuck in traffic last week and the sweat I left on the seat Blush.

I would just tell him to keep the windows closed, what kind of idiot doesn't realise that it ruins the effects of the air con

Are you close to taking your test?

PeloAddict · 19/07/2022 01:34

My fine curly hair usually takes 45 mins to diffuse or a full day to air dry
Air dry tonight in 90 mins Blush I'm melting

mum2jakie · 19/07/2022 01:35

Too hot to sleep tonight!!

It's currently saying 36. Downstairs says 31.

I soaked my hair for the third time at 1.30. It's dry now.

Is anyone else having trouble with bugs!
Our house is alive.
We need the windows open for the draught but there's flies everywhere all day and all night.

Why when you're on holiday (spain for example) the flies never seem to be as much of a problem/ as many of them?

vodkaredbullgirl · 19/07/2022 02:22

Working a night shift and it must be 30 inside and 24 outside. I'm hiding in the air con lounge for 5 mins to cool off.

Window and door screens need to get fashionable in the UK. Net curtains help a bit.

Just gone 3am and still 23deg.
I’m spending the night downstairs as it’s cooler, might go for a wander in the garden too see if it’s any cooler.

EmmaH2022 · 19/07/2022 03:18

I'm thinking outside temp is about 26? London.

skelleg · 19/07/2022 03:22

23 here with a very sad post op puppy who is just quietly whimpering every now and then. Poor thing :(

Oh no, hope she feels better soon.

dogs are discombobulated. Our park is open all night tonight, I was there about 10pm and a lovely dog came bouncing along and presented me with a ball. He sat looking at me like I was his mummy....😂 I explained that I wasn't but then he jumped on to the bench and sat next to me anyway. Then I worried his owners would think I was trying to dognap him. 😂

Lindy2 · 19/07/2022 03:27

I'm so tired but I just can't sleep. It's going to be a very long day tomorrow. 😣

TokyoSushi · 19/07/2022 03:56

Apparently 'only' 20 here, it is beyond ridiculous in our bedroom so I'm currently having a 10 minute sit in the garden.

20 by your own measurement? Depends where you are of course. If I had a garden, I’d sleep in it 😊

TokyoSushi · 19/07/2022 04:14

20 according to BBC weather app (not show how accurate that is!) still here, tempted to stay here!

TokyoSushi · 19/07/2022 04:14

Oh I'm Cheshire

TokyoSushi · 19/07/2022 04:14

IN Cheshire! 🙄

You are replying to a post that's a week old. The 40 degrees forecast are the ones currently being experienced in the UK, just slightly later than initially forecast.

TheWristBoundLatexBitch · 19/07/2022 23:27

Checking in again. Ended up downstairs last night as I have an air con unit in living room, staying here again tonight as it's currently 24 and the heat hits as you walk upstairs.
