Do you get your boiler serviced annually?

Just that really. If you own your home do you get an annual service?

We didn't last year, just wondering if it's one of those things people never miss like a car service or if people don't bother.

I don't because my boiler isn't a fancy pants condenser boiler. But I believe those types do need regular services.
There is a guy on YouTube called Alan hart that is a plumber and reviews boilers. I just hope you haven't got a Worcester Bosch one. Don't service these and you will have enormous repair bills.

I am horrified at the number of people not getting the annual service.

So am I @BMW6. We getopurs serviced every year as part of our contract.

I didn't know you were supposed to get the electrics checked every 10 years either. However, as part of a kitchen refit we had a new consumer unit fitted, so hopefully we should be OK.

Ours isn't a fancy pants condenser boiler either @chocolateorangeinhaler, but I still have it serviced regularly.

Yes, it's a condition of our house insurance!

Oil or gas?

If oil and not necessary for on warranty probably biennially, if gas/lpg , without doubt annually, for safety.

All boilers need an annual service. Gas appliances can be lethal if not serviced regularly.

Is your DH Gas Safe registered?

A Gas Safe Registered engineer is the only person qualified to service a gas boiler.
An oil boiler must be serviced by an OFTEC registered engineer.
