Name for car.

Got a really good deal on a new car yesterday so splashed out. It's definitely a he and needs a name beginning with H for Hyundai. My current car is Hamish which I love, so was thinking Hamish 2. Unless anyone has any better ideas. My mum keeps suggesting girls names.

Are you keeping your current car, if not then can the name not just go to the new car?

I was about to admonish you Bertie for recycling names and not giving each car his or her own identity, but then you perfectly justified it.
You, however, are not naming the car but the little people, who would of course keep their names when they moved house.

My Hyundai is called Heidi.

@BertiesShoes I'm not keeping the current one. And have made the mistake of mentioning it to my brother in law who is going straight for the jugular, telling me he's had phone calls from A very distressed Hamish. (Current car) He knows exactly how to wind me up as I live that car!

The dealers have it back so am going to see it today and hopefully the name will become clear.,(can't have it until they have a replacement for it)

I asked DH and he suggested Hetty or Henrietta

I'm deeply amused at all the cars here that have names starting with H. For me, all blue cars are called Henry, and since I am one of THOSE people who only choose blue cars, I'm currently on Henry V. Except she's a convertible, which are apparently girls (just don't ask. I don't know why, that's just what my brain insists) so she's actually Henrietta.

I'm very tempted to always call my cars Hamish. Currently leaning towards Henry-Hamish

My first car was called Maisie. Current car is Rosie.

We have always named our cars. Young adult dc have followed on the tradition.
I am currently driving aground in Troy. DS owns Gonzalez and DD has a Neville!

Both DC were thrilled to discover their current partners are also car namers. As is my sister. And my closest friend….

Went to meet him and they've lent it out again. Arghhhh! But collecting on Thursday anyway. Took another one out for a drive instead.

Got the car. Don't think he's a Henry. Possibly a Hildegard. My sister says it's an angry car, looking from the front.
