Wth is wrong with Mumsnet lately??!

Honestly I’m about to jack it in and post elsewhere! It’s either crashing or the thread your in is constantly reloading and you lose any response you are writing. It’s utterly infuriating!

It's the new tradition.

About 10 pm.

Every. Single. Night.

Yep.
Every day it crashes for at least a couple of minutes but longer spells are becoming usual.

They really need to sort their act out.

I've been turning my wifi on and off for the last few nights until I realised it was just mumsnet being a bit crap

It was dreadful tonight. App and website crashed for over an hour this evening if not 2 hours

Yep the app has been down for a couple of hours for me tonight. So Annoying.

Shame that’s the way it’s going. It is beyond frustrating tapping out posts to have the page reload out of no where

It's happened the last 2 nights for me.

Mumsnet has around 70 employees. I think it’s shocking! The average 14-year-old could build a better site on their own from their bedroom.

Same. Last night it was down for at least 2 hours (that I was aware of!).

I changed browser because if I left a page idle it would freeze when I went back to continue, refresh wouldn't work and when I finally got it to reload by taking the long way round, it went back to the start of the thread.
Thought I had beaten it, but it's the same on this one so have reached the conclusion it's the site. Have been close to giving up too.

I have trouble with the adverts, unless I reject them from the outset, they cover the screen, making it impossible to read posts at all..

I suspect it has been taken over by the government.

Slow, unreliable, irratating, expect better, cannot be relied upon, never really know what's going on with it but you put up with due to lack of choice and credible alternatives.

So glad you’ve raised this because I thought it was my phone or WiFi. I was about to post and ask if anyone else had the problem. It’s terrible. I spend more time waiting for it to reload than reading the posts.

It’s day time for me, which makes it really annoying.

The old site was motored by a bunch of retired hamsters hobbling about on their wheel. The effort of launching the new site has obviously see a few of those old boys off, and so now it’s just one or two wheezing and puffing and doing the best they can under the circs.

I am sure MNHQ can afford better. Hard to understand what the issue is, really. Money? Capability? Capacity?

Yes the reloading is so annoying so the thing you're reading frequently disappears mid sentence and you have to find your place again. Also the watching section of the app. Before the thread title was highlighted when there was a new response - now you have to click on only to find there is nothing new. Such a time waster

Yep was hours for me last night on the app. Took me ages to realise it wasn't my Wi-Fi. It wouldn't let me log in, wouldn't recognise my password/ email. I'd had a long day and was looking forward to some mindless scrolling. It was the same the night before too, although not for as long.
