Starters or desserts kind of person?

I went out to dinner with DH this evening and he wanted to get a starter. Problem is, I don't like starters particularly and asked him not to as I was starting to get hangry, lol! With starters, I feel like everyone has to get one, otherwise you're waiting ages. So DH and I had a discussion about starters and desserts. I'm definitely more for desserts.
Anyone else - starters or desserts?

If I wanted one and DH didn't and he was super hungry I'd ask it to come at same time as main meal.

Definitely dessert. Have never had a starter. Luckily my family are the same but when we go out with DH's family they all choose starters so I have to sit there and wait, watching them all eat while I'm starving.

I was going to suggest this, but I just know a lot of restaurants would mess this up. When you request something a bit different there is often a misunderstanding, but it would be the ideal compromise.

Definitely starters!

Hate starters. They spoil my appetite. I don't mind nuts or olives or something with a drink, but proper starters or a bloody great bowl of soup are so off putting.

Mains & a pud for me.

I'm a pudding type and DH would rather a starter. Most of the time we just have mains, this weekend when eating out we both had pudding!

Both for me lol but I don't go out for meals much so take full advantage x
