I assume he wasn't at the cathedral today for that vety reason

There was no child under 12 there today the youngest royals there were Edwards children.

I showed my DH the photos of him pulling faces next to the queen as we were at a wedding recently and he got very angry at our 3YO who began singing "we don't talk about bruno" during the wedding vows 🙈 I was telling him it's okay people will find it funny, it's expected of kids etc but he was very upset and embarrassed at the time. I just said look! Even a prince standing with the Queen isn't expected to behave perfectly

If that had been my wedding I wouldn't have found it funny at all. You should have taken your disruptive kid outside rather than let him ruin the vows. I'd have suggested you took him home and didn't bother coming to the reception.

toomuchlaundry · 03/06/2022 15:46

@BanditBluey you are the reason many of us have child free weddings!

Arsewangry · 03/06/2022 17:45

My youngest boy was born the same week as Prince Louis and I have to hand it to DoC for getting him in to a sailor suit, my boy definitely wouldn't have had a bar of that. Super cute, very real and normal cheeky chap.

LaurieFairyCake · 03/06/2022 17:53

They're very beautiful children

I also got a lump in my throat at Her Maj and him - she clearly adores him

Blossomtoes · 03/06/2022 18:26

I expect the Cambridge children do as they are told @Arsewangry. Mine certainly did, they wore what they were given when they were four.

fetchacloth · 04/06/2022 19:14

Poor kid, he looks bored witless.
I've seen similar facial expressions on young children in Tescos. Must be the most boring place on earth for young kids😁

Michelle1964 · 04/06/2022 19:23

I wonder if the Daily Fail would have used words such as mischievous and adorable had it been Archie behaving like this.

Mumof2PrettyBoys · 04/06/2022 19:38

😂😂😂 great comment! I do hope he'll follow in his handsome Uncle Harry's footsteps!!

Boring? Bloody hell, what does it take to entertain your kids? He most definitely didn’t look remotely bored. He was loving it.

My grandson is the same age and a complete demon in some respects,he'd be climbing on the balcony.

AmIbeingTreasonable · 05/06/2022 09:41

I love him, he's an absolute hoot! 😁

Omg I don’t know how you think that’s acceptable.

Ahh brill good for you!! Were they "seen and not heard" also?!

If I can get my four year old out of the house not dressed as Batman I call that a win.

Blossomtoes · 05/06/2022 19:22

Were they "seen and not heard" also?!

Only when they were told. 😉

🏅🥇🎖🏆 - for you, in that case. I bow to your superior parenting! Congrats!

Arsewangry · 05/06/2022 19:25

...And apparently so would DoC

I think it was after that he played musical laps and settled with Grandpa eventually.

If that had been my wedding I would have laughed and probably joined in with the song. Weddings are fun, kids are fun.

My 2 year old was taught "wassssuuuuupppp" by his older cousin and then said it during his Uncle's wedding. It was over with quickly, but I was a bit mortified at the time. He's 23 now and quite well behaved. Grin

LilythePunk · 05/06/2022 20:59

I don’t know why the children are expected to sit through all that at their age anyway. It’s quite cruel really. George and Charlotte had already been on an engagement in Cardiff yesterday morning. Then they were expected to sit through an evening concert. Now this. It’s far too much .

Antarcticant · 05/06/2022 21:04

Cruel? Come on, it's watching a few events in the plush seats, not being sent up a chimney!😁

It's a bit of a special occasion though, it's not like they do it day in day out.

FormerlySpeckledyHen · 06/06/2022 06:06

George was sitting their planning his abdication by the look on his face most of the time.

Goodskin46 · 06/06/2022 06:11

I am reminded of this famous quote:

Q Which child is generally the hardest would you say ?
A. The last one.
