BGT live semi finals

I've got tickets for the first BGT semi final but it's one of those where they give away too many tickets so you have to go and queue on the day.

In a moment of madness I've booked train tickets and a hotel on the off chance we manage to get in but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience of this or any tips!

It's at Hammersmith appollo so I've booked hotel nearby as I'll have DD(8) with me so if we do get in I don't want to be dragging her on the tube late at night.

Our train gets into Euston at 9.10 so we'll tube it straight to Hammersmith to get in the queue but I'm wondering if we'll be too late even by then. I've seen something online from 2019 that said they started giving out tickets at 9.30 and all were gone by 11am... We would be there before 11am but probably only by half an hour.

If anyone has any experience of this let me know. I've already warned DD that we might not get tickets and that we'll have a lovely couple of days in London if we don't. Just want to know if I'm completely mad even trying to get tickets 😬

Hi we are off on the train shortly to be there by 9ish. I hope that the staff give them by 11 as don’t fancy being in the q until 3!

Hopefully it’s the same format time wise as last year. Let us know how you get on. Hopefully you won’t be waiting too long

Have a great time today! Let us all know what queuing is like etc and what time tickets are given out. Hopefully it will be early and you will be able to enjoy the rest of the day before the show 😊

I got there just before 9, there was probably only about 30 people in front of us. Got tickets around 11ish. 8am is early but if you want to do it for peace of mind then why not? 9 o'clock has always been fine whenever I've gone, people were still arriving as we were leaving, but don't know if its quieter today as its a Bank Holiday and people are away. Thanks, Diversity walked past us while we were queueing so I guess they're special guests tonight 😁

Thanks. We're in the stalls but in row z so quite far back, but you still get a good view wherever you're sat.

We got there at 11:15 and got tickets by 12 so want too long to wait. There weren’t as many there as I thought. Not sure what time they would have run out of tickets

Have a fab night everyone who's there tonight, we'll be watching at home.... Might go and get some skittles for DD after her having them confiscated last year!

Were there many people in the priority queue this morning?

A few. They still queued. Think the only difference was they were guaranteed a seat.

we got there at 8.30. There was a handful of people there. By the time they set up the barriers, there were around 100-200 people. When they opened the doors, easily 400. We had our tickets by 10.45 and in row z

7 is fine, you'll only be queueing again.

Not too bad then at least you got stalls. You shouldve told us what you're wearing and suchlike so we could've kept an eye out on TV tonight 😅 enjoy 😁

What a fab show you've had! Musa was amazing, I'm sure he'll be going through but feel bad for the others as so many of them were good. I loved the singing teacher, very sharp wit, but so many others were good too!

I do think the first night a lot of very strong acts get shown so it gets people watching for the week which is a bit unfair!
