First guess was the bracketed word and fifth guess was a variation on the first word. Would have got it in 12 if I could spell 🙄

Yep, it was the slightly different word I was missing and, honestly, I don't think I have ever heard of that version. I'm really surprised DH went straight to it as the subject is far more my sphere than his.

Had to Google that one - never heard of the first word! (Got the second one on my first guess, though)
