Worst wedding you've been to?

My worst wedding memory was when DH's cousin got married. He was reluctant to go, and said it might get rough....It did, rather! Drunk old Uncle Wilf fell down the steps and broke his leg, and the bridegroom had to be restrained from attacking his new MIL with a bottle of wine! DH's mum chided his brother for not going, saying "You missed a lovely wedding! "

Yes. She was only about 18 or 19. I can't remember how old the groom was, but about the same I think. I have no idea what happened to them after their marriage.

I remember another colleague, about the same age, who also got pregnant. Her parents insisted that she have an abortion. She went for the procedure and decided she couldn't go ahead with it, so her parents threw her out of the house.

We've come a long way since those days, I'm glad to say.

My mum didn't want to remarry, but was pressured into it in the mid eighties by her parents. Her first marriage "didn't count" as a divorce because it was a protestant wedding.

I attended a wedding - reception was at the couple's country cottage.
I went to the toilet, it was unlocked, and when I opened the door the groom was shagging one of the bridesmaids up against the wall.

Most weddings are like most funerals - boring and mainly shit for the guests.😉

That is true, @Boomer55 . The bad ones are the ones that I remember with most fondness, the others tend to morph into one.
