How far would you walk to a bar / restaurant from your house?

For example if a bar or restaurant was 10/20/30 mins’ walk from your home - would you walk it?

How far of a walk would it have to be for you to decide to get a taxi instead?

My late aunt and my DM who were mid seventy and mid sixties at the time used to walk five miles to a country inn, eat and have two drinks and walk home! No idea how long it took them.

I regularly do this. 30 minutes there and 30 minutes back again. I'm in London so could easily get a bus, but the walk is nice.

Dressed up and wanting to look reasonable … 10 mins. More casual then I’m happy to walk miles to a nice pub, id it’s a nice walk!

I'd like to add that we live at the top of a massive hill. We'd probably get taxis home less if not for that.

Jealous of the folks with buses; our last one going into the town centre is 6.30pm and there's nothing passes us coming back after that.
