How easy is it to send a message to the wrong person by accident on WhatsApp?

Haha one of my friends just sent me 3 messages meant for someone else a half hour ago and I sent a message to another friend yesterday intended for my brother if that answers your question x

Yes easy if you click the wrong person in the list of chats, or go into contacts and start a new chat you could select someone with a similar name. Why, what’s up OP?

Well, I'm still embarrassed by the fact that 30 odd parents have (had?) photos of DS enjoying himself at the beach on their phones after DH sent a bunch++ to the class WhatsApp group (instead of me) and then put his phone away (they were at the beach after all) so there was no opportunity to delete.

++ roughly 20. Mortified.

Today I sent a message to the kids' swim club whatsapp group saying "Can you grab mushrooms on your way home please"

My Dad managed to forward the contact ID thing for the woman he was having an affair with onto our family whatsapp group when he was away 'on business'.

I assume he was attempting to call or message her but is utterly technologically inept so sent her details to our family chat 🙄

DP sent me a WhatsApp message recently saying she was on her way already and would get here in half an hour. I was baffled, as I was in London and she in Glasgow.

Very easy if you have been conversing with them already and you forget to change recipient. Much harder if it's a random number.

I've:
-told a woman I was buying a cake from to fucking hurry up as i needed the loo (meant to message DH)

• told a woman who was coming to collect a Henry Hoover that the dog had done a poo in the hallway
• told a guy at work where I'd put the clean linen

That's only half a story was she meeting up with someone in secret?

Well, my xbf and i are both in a whatsapp group and i sent a m3ssage to the whole group thinking it was just for him. It wasnt that bad, just a look after yourself, this is v challenging kind of message but it was so obvious what had happened

Fairly easy, but only if it's someone you've already contacted on Whatsapp before and there is already a chat thread. If it's a new chat then even if that person is in your contacts list then not that easy, and I would be suspicious if someone said they did that accidentally.

I know I said this above but have we all got different WhatsApps?

What happens when you start to type the contact name for a new chat? If it only showed you people you'd already WhatsApped how would you ever be able to contact any new😜

Ignore the rogue emoji, I can't delete them, I can't understand why you don't get the option to start a new chat, it doesn't make any sense
