After not playing yesterday, I came back with a bang today :)

I solved Semantle #104 in 15 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 21.54. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #4. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 12.52. semantle.com/

A normal starting word for me is 998 but I put 772 in first and that took me down a particular route for a few guesses.

My first green was 998 which is one of my openers but I didn't think of the right word as quickly as I could have.

I got 923 quickly but there are many ways that word can go! Can anyone subtly point me in which way. I have 682 as well.

It wouldn't have occurred to me to put in 923 as a word...that's not cemantle rather than semantle by any chance is it?

@ErrolTheDragon Ah yes, I am on the wrong thread! That might be why it is not going well. I know I need to think more laterally with Cemantle.

First greens led me totally the wrong direction. Then got a chance 998!

@ApolloandDaphne 923 on here has only three very specific ways it can go. It's not even a word.

Well I made hard work of that but at least it made sense.

Should have got it in under 30. Got slightly freaked out when I got 998 quickly and didn’t use the words I already had well enough - could really have gone straight to target from there.

Another one that was pretty much a straight line from one of my usual early guesses (actually it’s usually the very first guess but today I entered something random instead). I got a bit distracted on a different path for a few guesses but then got 998 and found it from there.

Didn't enjoy that. Had too many dissimilar words in the teens to find a common thread. Ended up getting a hint.
