I solved Semantle #100 in 108 guesses with 1 hint. My first guess had a similarity of 4.74. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #68. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 76.04 (999/1000). semantle.com/
Had to get a clue. My greens had nothing much to do with the answer. I'm very surprised by a word it doesn't know!

My rule is "I only use a hint when it's really pissing me off and I don't have time for its shit/have to get on with things."

When things are more laid back timewise I tend to try to get to about 60 before looking at the thread and around 80+ if still nothing before going for a hint, but I've only got hints I think 2-3 games in total as they're usually both rubbish and annoying.

The hint I got today actually helped for once!

I got no sense of achievement from that one but I did use a guess as wasn't in the mood.

Something upthread put me on the path. I only look on the thread when I have run out of ideas of my own or time is tight, or I can't really be bothered.

my first green was 301 which didn’t help me at all! A clue upthread helped me to get into more relevant greens.

I quite like the clues on here. I try on my first and then only look here for clues if I start to flounder otherwise I don’t come to the thread until I’ve solved it. I’m a bit unsure about the hints, they’re a bit of a lucky dip. Some of them are useless!

Absolutely can't believe today's fluke. The last few ones I've been rubbish and it's taken me so long and used loads of hints. Now I dont know what to do to fill my time for the rest of the day.
