This was such a weird one! I don't think many of the high greens work at all.

I solved Semantle #97 in 139 guesses with 1 hint. My first guess had a similarity of 10.60. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #97. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 34.59 (879/1000). semantle.com/

I'm in Semantle hell. Never had 10+ guesses after 999 before.

I used loads of hints this morning, it was just weird. One of my hints was 839 - I mean, really?!

If I'm on 999 and I ask for a hint will it tell me the answer?

No, it starts filling in downwards, so 998, 997, 996... I may have discovered that this morning!

First green was very low but weirdly relevant - it led perfectly onto my second green which was in the high 990s.

998 is weird, I can really only make it work in a sentence with the target word, not as a synonym.

Yes, that happens, the 'closeness' is not just direct similarity.

Agree about 998, all my early answers led me to 998 and I couldn't get off that track until I took a hint. Even that didn't help hugely as I was still trying to link in the 998 chain.

Just got 250 as a hint.... Where do I go from here!?!
