Oh for crying out loud. I had the theme early but the specific thing just wouldn't come.

I slept on it last night, looked at what I'd put in, saw a word I thought I'd used but it turned out I hadn't and bam. Got it this morning finally with the first word I tried today.

I went down a complete rabbit hole with cicada. For ages I was convinced I was looking for some obscure type of Mexican song!

No. 34 was very slightly better (205 guesses and 55% accuracy). I started well, but then was on the wrong lines for quite a while until I found something fairly far down the article that gave it away. That was annoying, as I had worked out much of the relevant paragraph quite early on but hadn't bothered exploring it as I assumed it was only very tangential to the main topic!

I started today's last night at home on my Ipad and it doesn't transfer over to my work computer, and I won't be home till after 5, so I've resigned today's to Not Completed.

I got the theme fairly quickly, knew I know nothing about that theme so thought I'd never solve it, went through filling in sentences anyway then eventually spotted what was probably the same historical clue that others have mentioned !

I think I’ve yet to hit below 200 guesses, but getting rid of the auto plural thingy has helped and increased the accuracy.

i clicked that the previous one was about insects but it took me ages to narrow it down. Learnt far more about insects that I’d like in the process 🥴😁

A lot of us got it by accident - I assume the same sort of way - by getting 'origin of species' and then filling in the name of the ship. I wonder if anyone found it via snoopy or Star Trek?
