I've tried a few words that would fit that description which have all been cold. I'll try and rack my brain to think of more!

I solved Semantle #93 in 119 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 8.74. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #56. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 30.82. semantle.com/

I don't know why but today's really annoyed me, completely irrational I know!! I think it was just the way I made it there! The hint took me in a totally different (wrong) direction.

I’ve managed to get to 150 guesses without a single green, feel like that’s almost an achievement in itself.

im going to have to use the hint button aren’t I? I’d banned myself from it but honestly I can’t think of any more words.

LOL the stupid thing was that, despite my rage, that somehow took me more or less straight there!

I wasted so much time titting about with my high colds and trying direct synonyms just wasting guess after guess. It’s buggered up my average a bit but oh well.

I got 989 on guess 17 but am now approaching 400 guesses and still not quite there.
The direction it's taking is not something I'm even remotely familiar with.
Any tips to get me over the line here?

Well, thanks for nothing guys. Today's word is awful. I had to take a hint to get from 997 to 998, and even then it was a synonym hunt to get the answer from there.
It shouldn't be that hard!

@squirrelnutkins1 it's a much smaller element within a large 989 (I got that on guess 17 and was still floundering 500 guesses later!)

I liked the one. Got 948 very quickly then 998 lead straight to the answer.

The word obviously doesn't mean what I thought it meant, as the one thing I'd expect to find there only has a similarity of 18.72.
