I solved Semantle #90 in 276 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 10.13. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #140. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 90.38 (999/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

LOL. After two sub-50 word solves in a row, normal service is resumed today!

BIWI · 29/04/2022 10:48

I really don't understand where this is going! First green was 771 then hints gave me 871 and 903 Confused

BIWI · 29/04/2022 10:53

I solved Semantle #90 in 132 guesses with 2 hints. My first guess had a similarity of -3.95. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #68. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 18.79. semantle.novalis.org/

Got there in the end! Some very odd suggestions!

InMySpareTime · 29/04/2022 10:56

@BIWI 771 is the best of those, how is it delivered?

EdwinsActsOfKindness · 29/04/2022 10:56

I solved Semantle #90 in 123 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 15.54. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #39. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 30.84 (235/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

Another tricky one for me but no hints so I’m happy.

My first green was 99 which promptly resulted in a large number of cold words 😀

BIWI · 29/04/2022 11:22

I'm not sure that using semantle's hints is actually that helpful!

Heronatemygoldfish · 29/04/2022 11:32

Drat! Should have got this one a lot quicker... (but I say that a lot!)

I solved Semantle #90 in 96 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 14.73. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #48. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 76.54 (998/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

JaneJeffer · 29/04/2022 11:51

I'm just over here guessing different types of a thing...

Jux · 29/04/2022 12:06

It's fun, but I've had 2 days in a row where it doesn't "know" the word I'm making early guess with. Today's unknown was hierophant - 3rd guess, can't remember what yesterday's was (guess7or 8). So I'll go back to Redactle which I find more fun and I learn stuff too!

To be fair that is a very out there sort of word. I am well educated and almost 60 and that's the first time I have ever encountered it!

I quite agree, and I used 7 today! It gave me #1, #973, and #953, among others 🤷‍♀️

JaneJeffer · 29/04/2022 12:36

I have come to the conclusion I'm on the wrong track again but at least I'm well prepared for any eventuality 😬

Peckhampalace · 29/04/2022 13:19

I solved Semantle #90 in 157 guesses with 4 hints. My first guess had a similarity of -9.40. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #22. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 60.72 (993/1000). semantle.novalis.org/
First green word was 290, and it took another 50 or so to find the next one.

SheilaFentiman · 29/04/2022 13:42

I solved Semantle #90 in 84 guesses with 3 hints. My first guess had a similarity of 9.05. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #23. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 40.53 (909/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

I'm possibly on the wrong track with you. This is the first time I've found Semantle so frustrating!

ScrambledSmegs · 29/04/2022 13:55

I really feel the need to say 'WTF?'. Not a logical progression for me at all!

I solved Semantle #90 in 67 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 1.61. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #36. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 42.07 (923/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

JaneJeffer · 29/04/2022 14:06

I took a hint but it's just another version of something I guessed already. Useless Angry

InMySpareTime · 29/04/2022 14:21

Where are you up to @JaneJeffer and @GrouchyKiwi ? Perhaps I can nudge you towards the answer.

ChuckBerrysBoots · 29/04/2022 14:22

66 with no hints, which pleased with. Went down a particular route then this thread reminded me to zoom out a bit.

AuntieStella · 29/04/2022 14:24

I solved Semantle #90 in 329 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 14.54. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #7. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 75.15 (997/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

Completely WTF for me as well. My early green words seem to have sod all to do with the eventual solution, so I spent a lot of time going round the houses. 948, 903, 892 and 819 are very odd!

weebarra · 29/04/2022 14:30

I solved Semantle #90 in 47 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 1.80. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #8. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 75.15 (997/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

Wow! This was a joint effort on the start of a road trip to the highlands. What are we going to do for the next 4 hours.

JaneJeffer · 29/04/2022 14:34

Raging 😡

I solved Semantle #90 in 203 guesses with 2 hints. My first guess had a similarity of 11.74. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #18. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 75.15 (997/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

GrouchyKiwi · 29/04/2022 14:41

InMySpareTime I've now got 991 but have tried everything I can think of related to that.

InMySpareTime · 29/04/2022 14:49

@GrouchyKiwi how does the 991 arrive at the receiving points?

AuntieStella · 29/04/2022 14:54

@GrouchyKiwi 991 is a noun, not an adjective. Think about what you do with it, and how you could do it
