We are all well and truly addicted now!

Got it in 37 guesses, best I've done for weeks.

I solved Semantle #89 in 98 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 3.80. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #70. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 20.93. semantle.novalis.org/

I suspect my lateral thinking switch is firmly in the off position today. All logical words I can think of are showing up as distinctly cold!

My only two greens are 498 and 894 and every other word that I think is related to these two is cold so I suspect I’m on a tangent.

Can anyone give me a nudge please before I give in and use a hint?

How can 819 be 819 but the singular version be cold? Ditto 851.

Got it in the end with 2 hints because I was driving myself mad and need to go to work!

I thought I was going to get it much earlier as my 4th guess took me straight to 942. But then I had to fiddle round the houses for ages before getting there.

I got it with a hint, which gave me 979, which was on a different track from my previous highest (959) and let me get it next attempt. I feel it might have taken a lot more guesses otherwise!
