M&S knickers

gelatodipistacchio · 17/04/2022 16:09

I have not bought any new knickers in at least 3 years and I think it's time!

I have often seen M&S knickers recommended here.

What are your favourite styles and why?

Tyia!

They are rubbish

Timeforabiscuit · 17/04/2022 16:23

Awful, crap and awful again. If anyone can tell me where to buy m&s knickers from 4 years ago (shorts style, mainly cotton, lovely patterns and nice lace detailing - used to be in a 3 for 2 deal and about £4 each but worth it) I'd be eternally grateful!

nearlyspringyay · 17/04/2022 16:37

Used to be, not any more

I like their Flexifit ones. They're not pretty but they are very comfortable!

TulipsGarden · 17/04/2022 16:43

Flexifit. They're so comfy - I bought them for my c section but they're now my everyday knickers.

The regular cotton ones aren't as good as they used to be though.

Lavapalaver · 17/04/2022 16:45

They are crap crap crap, and if you’re thinking of buying sainsburys big pants multipack that is so often recommended instead (formerly best pants on earth) …. DON’T!!! Sainsbos pants are the latest casualty of post pandemic / post brexit times. The elastic is barely attached to the knickers anymore, they are rags after one wear, thin, see through, nasty, cheap pants. For years one thing we could rely on in this unpredictable world was a pack of sainsbos full briefs in black. No longer. Turbulent times indeed.

Floralnomad · 17/04/2022 16:47

Anyone who wants full briefs I can highly recommend Carole Hochman seamless , they are brilliant .

TheMooch · 17/04/2022 16:48

Boody knickers.

M&S are disappointingly thin these days.

Moochio · 17/04/2022 16:48

We need a campaign for proper pants

TheHoleNineYards · 17/04/2022 16:49

Flexifit. Comfiest knickers I’ve ever found and DP assures me they are ‘hot’ (though I think this is because he’s a good’un, rather than because they actually are!)

caz198917 · 17/04/2022 16:51

Used to love asda basic cottons.... they now fall apart after one wear! I am literally not exaggerating either! Tesco seem to be good so far 🤞

Mindymomo · 17/04/2022 16:52

I always buy M&S knickers, I like the medium brief ones. I turned 60 and thought perhaps I should buy full briefs, they are so much cheaper I think £5 for 5 pairs, they are more like 3/4 than full briefs. Mine last a good 3/4 years and keep their colour, despite numerous washes.

gelatodipistacchio · 17/04/2022 16:52

Urgh, this isn't encouraging

I like the tesco seamless shorts

NrlySp · 17/04/2022 16:56

I brought some M&S knickers this week and I’m quite happy with them.
Went for the full brief. Yes the material is thinner than in the past but they are comfy and a nice colour

LaurieFairyCake · 17/04/2022 16:58

I've the M and S midi ones with the lace top

Not remotely thin, last ages

knowinglesseveryday · 17/04/2022 17:04

I've never understand the M and S hate on Mumsnet

woodhill · 17/04/2022 17:09

They used to be so much better

My go to from M&S was the high rise short in cotton trimmed with lace, some lasted 10 years' but now most of the pants are not cotton or low rise

woodhill · 17/04/2022 17:09

Or are low rise , I mean with skimpy gussets

Princesspickle777 · 17/04/2022 17:11

I’ve bought M&S full briefs for a few years now, bought a pack recently and haven’t noticed any change in quality. They last and wash well 🤷‍♀️.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 17/04/2022 17:28

I have bought nothing but M&S high leg knickers for years (maybe even decades) now, and they seem to be just as good quality now as they used to be. They wash well and last for ages.

SoggyPaper · 17/04/2022 17:30

@RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie

I like their Flexifit ones. They're not pretty but they are very comfortable!
My vote too. Best pants going.
ImInStealthMode · 17/04/2022 17:33

Most of mine are M&S microfibre in the shorts style.

They're comfy, wash well, dry fast. What's not to like?

StarlightLady · 17/04/2022 17:48

M&S Brazillians! A touch of colour with a touch of lace and 4 for the price of 3. No stupid multipacks. I don't do beige (makes my crotch look cardboard) and I don't do white(reminds me of school) so they suit me and my lifestyle.

LadyOfTheCanyon · 17/04/2022 17:49

M&S flexifit shorts or full briefs. Really comfy, wash well. I love them.
