Here we go again! Is this game getting easier, or will we all be wallowing in the hundreds in a day or two? Only time will tell!

Anybody new to the madness do join in. We need all the help we can get!

I have a few greens, highest is 932 but I’m going to potter around for a bit then come back to it.

This got me there eventually even though I didn’t have 932!

I solved Semantle #78 in 232 guesses. My first guess had a similarity of 4.85. My first word in the top 1000 was at guess #114. My penultimate guess had a similarity of 74.54 (999/1000). semantle.novalis.org/

It's my first time playing, I'm up to 274 guesses & the best I have is 901/1000. IDK if I'm doing it right though, I can't think of any more words similar to the words I've already got in green. Or is that the wrong strategy?

Try to think of the words as stepping stones to the target. So not just synonyms, but word association, and even in some cases opposites. Your 901 is a good word!

Todays seemed a natural progression from my starting guess though it took a while. I like it when it’s like that.

My higher greens such as 991 were tending to lead me in an unhelpful direction. It was the clue about #5 which set me straight. I'd have thought that word should have been a lot higher than some of the others, and the absence of its root word from the list maybe says something about prevailing culture as represented on Google news.
