Blimey I feel old, Brooklyn Beckham is getting married

I just read that Brooklyn Beckham is getting married. I thought he would be about 15 years old, no he's 23 😁

Dave and Vic flogged theirs to Hello IIRC. They got married the same year I did and I'd have killed for a Vera Wang.

Honestly I was expecting something more classy. I thought it was supposed to be a Jewish wedding the father is supposed to be very religious no one of them seems to be wearing a bra in all age groups 😂
How can he be very religious if he married a non Jew? This was about as much a Jewish wedding as Victoria and David Beckham's was

Yeah I wonder how the sister feels about it?

I’m struggling to understand why certain news outlets have so much coverage of the wedding of the son of a has-been footballer and a failing fashion designer, and the daughter of a billionaire who most people haven’t heard of.

Why are we supposed to care?

(This is beyond the fact that 1999 was clearly only about 5 years ago, of course 😬)

I only want to see the picture of Nicolas granny who apparently was Maid of Honour, or Honor I should say. I am a bit boggled by that one, but maybe they do things differently in The US.

It must have spoilt the day going to all that trouble so that no one got a photo. Ridiculous image of her being shielded by umbrellas. It’s not like they need the money.

I think the three bridesmaids including Harper all looked lovely, relaxed and comfortable in their outfits and looked like they were having more fun than the adults!

They are young and in love.
I was 18 years old when I met my then boyfriend and we were SO SO madly in love, absolutely in mad love that after 3 months dating we decided to get married.
It was the mad love you hear and see in the movies.
Now I think how silly I was- we had no money, he did not even finish his school as he wanted to be nonstop with me and drop out of his class ( I did not know until his mum angrily told me)
But were in love and that was all that mattered - nothing else.
We split up after year when he went to the Army, so the wedding never happened.
But yeah I can understand the need for the marriage- the need to be nonstop together and with their wealth status it must be super easy!
It was amazing for us and we were poor , so it must absolutely super amazing for them.

He is 23, she is 27. 23 is young to get married and it's often the case where religion or culture means marrying young is encouraged rather than sex outside marriage.

The latest statistics show that the average age for a woman in Britain to get married is 35 and for a man it's 38...so yes, 23 is not average and definitely quite unusual

Same age as my dd, she's still at university but if you don't need to work life is different. His wife is also rich

I remember asking my dad to pick up OK magazine with David and Victoria's wedding pics in them. The matching purple outfits and thrones!

I suppose when you're rich and a bit idle and madly in love, getting hitched at 23 seems like a good thing to do.

I hope it works out for them.
With the Beckhams being so rich (though not quite as rich as the Peltz') I don't think the Peltz family need to worry about him being after their daughter's money.

I also think 23 is young in this day and age. Very surprised to hear the average ages are now 35 and 38!

Does that include second or subsequent marriages, though? If it does that will push the number up. I would be astonished if the average age of first time marriage for a man in the UK is now 38!

The day after the wedding and the married couple have lunch with Brooklyn’s parents and a few other family members.

On the way there, Nicola broke a heel on her sandal so they had to stop off and pick up a new pair. Unfortunately the only shop that was open was ‘Pole dancers R us’.

Apparently they’ve signed a prenup where both sides will keep their own assets etc, if that is to be believed.
