Does anyone else put X in for unknowns along with the confirmed letters? Sometimes (like today!) I can't see until I do. So example if the word was BINGO (it's not BTW) using the above example for line 2 I would type

XXNXO

And then look at any yellow letters to see where they might go. Think I'd still be staring at todays if I hadn't!!

No. I go old skool and use pencil and paper and rubber.

I always use X for unknown letters, WhatICallMyUsername!

I do x's as well, it really helps me, especially on those rare occasions where there is an x.

I'm quite good at crossword anagrams but I need pencil and paper for those, and Wordle is always done before I get out of bed so nothing to doodle on

I thought I had it on the second guess but at least I identified a letter that pretty much clinched it for getting it in three.

I’m finding it quite frustrating at the moment that there are often so many options with just one or two letters different. Eg a couple of days back I got to six guesses after getting all but one letter right on line 2. Something like SHARE STARE SPARE SNATE SCARE. Recall the same for eg MOUND HOUND SOUND POUND ROUND WOUND FOUND BOUND etc as one of those came up too. Makes it all about pure luck not skill, v annoying.
