I didn't get it because I didn't realise it was an actual word. But on googling, I can see a couple of non 'name' definitions that make sense.

I suppose the words being American rather than British/International English is something to be mindful of and I believe is something that has tripped people outside the US up before?

I swithered over that middle letter and plumped for the wrong one in the second guess.
