Yellow cars, Is this a thing?

All the students at work, told me that if you see a yellow car you pretend punch someone. And say yellow car no returns. I've never heard of it.

Did this with VW beetles (the old style) and shout "punch buggy [colour of vehicle]"

My husband and I do this - I wonder if it's a regional thing as I'd never heard of it! Proper punch (obviously not too hard if he's driving ) then tot them up over the course of the day.

We also have 'yellow car of the day' which has to be mutually agreed upon - usually either a really fancy sports car, or a really impressive spot (e.g. just making out a wing mirror off in the distance).

We've been together nearly four years and the game is still going strong...

Yes, when my kids were wee we played the day it version, not the punching version.

There must be an awful lot of bruised people in Derby, the taxis there are yellow!

Me too. Love my yellow car and never lose it in a car park !

Weirdly enough, there's two parked outside my house right now. One's mine, but I've never seen the other one before!

It's 'punch bug' around here. VW Beetles were the It car a few years back.

We play Beetle bug and we punch gently-ish depending who it is you’re punching 😂 ours comes from the film 3000 Miles to Graceland which is a great film!

Never heard of it! My DC did learn 'Twingo' from their French cousins though, which is basically the same but with Renault Twingos. Not many of them in England but loads whenever we go and visit them.

My GC tell me it is "Cheese on wheels" and the first to shout gets a point. A yellow mini is "Mini cheddar" for two points.

The arguments about who said it first is driving me mad and I'm banning the game. It would have been banned long ago if hitting was involved.
